I have flown through ATL several times. While it's without a doubt the worst airport I've been through, I've never stood for more than 20 minutes at security, and then I was in the back of the roped off section. I have also never had to be rechecked after landing and boarding again, or landing and leaving.

I prefer Charlotte or Cincy to fly out of, just because of constant delays and concourse changes to ATL.

also, just about all major airlines allow to check in online and it takes two minutes.

I was at the airport in Prague, Czech Republic and they had a display of things that you cant take on the airplane. One of the items, I kid you not, was a leaf blower.

:bad:Another wonderful airport experience...

My 3 children were on their way to Vietnam over the weekend. One coming from Arkansas and the other two from Knoxville. They meet in the LA airport to catch a flight to Ho Chi Minh. Anyway, for some unknown reason the security guy told my oldest son he was not getting on that flight. No reason, no explanation. This apparently went on for sometime as my other two children were getting increasing upset. Finally, an luckily, my oldest son demanded to talk to the security agents supervisor, who finally OK'd him to board the plane. This really pisses me off. Some of these security guards, relatively few(I Hope, but this is not the first time I have heard of this), enjoy their power in their otherwise pathetic lives. He was probably an uneducated SOB that was looking to pick on someone more fortunate. My son was never told what the problem was, other than he is 6'8" tall, very handsome and dresses like the success he already is in the business world. However, everyone like him and he is always very polite, so I know it was not his attitude. Thanks to the airport jerk, their vacation started on a sour note. I HATE AIRPORTS.:bad:

SO you folks that have never had a problem. Consider yourself very lucky. I travel alot, and have heard alot of these ridiculous stories. I can give plenty of examples.

That sucks... I hate the sounds of dry leaves crackling when I get up to use the restroom at 30,000 feet.

Murfreesboro now has the cameras that take a picture of motorists that go through a yellow or red light.

Also, the electronic signs that hang over the interstate gave me this message today:

"Air Quality Alert - Reduce Trips"

Again, :the_finger:.

In 1995 I received a speeding ticket from Maricopa County, AZ with a picture of me driving a rental car.

and they're pretty good pictures. Not that I would know...

It was remarkably good considering I was actually breaking the speed limit by a good margin. It was clear enough that I could contest it by sending them my Tennessee drivers license to compare the picture. Of course, I could not contest it...
