Big 10 Writer On Gameday At Tennessee!

It's bleacher report...half the crap they post is just that...crap...much Negateer posting.

That is the way in generally is early in the season. The vitriol shown by Vol fans is really in relationship to the polarizing article. It is the author that some how suggest that TN/Florida are much less deserving.

I understand and I absolutely agree that it was a horribly written article. And doesnt really have much of a leg to stand on.

But if damn had gone to USC/Stanford, or for some reason MSU -v- ND, there would have been an SEC writer with the exact same article.

I just think that a one loss Vols -v- undefeated Bama :))) would have been a much bet........oh heck....I have no problem with gameday at Neyland this week.

1) I think its a suprise Gameday is coming to Knoxville this weekend, any Vol who doesn't admit that needs to take their shades off.

2) Michigan State is a very good team, likely will win the big 10, but it is not a "ratings" program. Even Notre Dame is not pulling in the ratings. I cheer for MSU to beat Michigan every time, I loathe Michigan - but MSU is not the ratings puller that Michigan is. Unfortunately reality.

3) If Tennessee is SOMEHOW undefeated going into the Bama game, I guarantee Gameday will come back. There is precedent for it in Knoxville for them to come 2x in one season, and there is precedent at other campuses as well.

4) Gameday has been to East Lansing in recent past, not Knoxville. It is well noted that they try to go to places they have never been or places they have not been in a while, this was likely a huge influencer to the choice.

5) The ultimate decision for ESPN here was simply to hype to their primetime game. Bragging and complaining are both pointless.

Stanford v USC. That would be the sage Stanford team the only beat San Jose State by 3? Yeah, that one should be great.....

They are probably saving their west coast swing for USC v Oregon. Part of me feels like they picked Knoxville because they felt like it had been a long time, and if the wheels fall off between now and then....they may not be able to justify coming back.

I hope everyone laughing at this guy realizes that our fans sound exactly like this douche when they complain that "ESPN hates us", ***** about game times, whine about announcers going on and on about Tebow, etc........

Damn, I could not have said this better myself.:cray:

I would +2 if I could.

You are right, MSU is not the same draw as many other games. And just for the record, Im really not trying to say that.

I dont know what other games are Oct 20th, but if you are both undefeated, I think gameday SHOULD be here. I just know that it is rare for that to happen. Im not sure who else is playing that week, but michigan has already shown their true colors to bama, so they are not likely to bring gameday to EL that week.

He's played 2 games so you probably haven't watched him 'on a regular basis'. He threw 3 pics against Boise and if it wasn't for Bell would have lost you the first game. Was not impressed at all.

You are assuming that the only times I have seen MSU is during games.

And if you know anything about football, and I am assuming you DO, you know that when the ball hits the receivers hands, he is supposed to catch it. Not the qbs fault.

I thought we had been over this. If it's a Bleacher Report article, shame on you for even reading it. I have written for Bleacher Report, and I rarely know what in the world I'm talking about.

My buddy told me to download this "awesome new app" the other day. It turned out to be BR so I labeled him an idiot.

There are four NCs between UT/UF in the BCS era.

There aren't any NCs for MSU/ND. Zero.

I woulda posted that on BR after some guy wanted to get all historical (and hysterical) about the irish and the spartys and their big deal programs , but I have no interest in joining BR just to point out that bit of silliness.

"And then there's Tennessee and Florida, two teams that'll be fighting for a trip to the Outback Bowl by the end of the year.

Come on. This shouldn't have even been close."

You can't spell Outback without........nevermind :D

ND is irrellevant because they currently suck. and have sucked for the most part of the last decade.

MSU is relevant because they are BigTen title contenders for the 3rd year in a row.

I dont know why yall cant get over the fact that the writer of the article is a doooooshbag, but that you are not the only team on the planet that is worth watching.
