Which is more important to you, wins or playing in the SEC? With all of the talk of how bad our program/HC is, and how we continue to slide into football irrelevance, would anyone consider this an option if we were to receive an offer from one of these conferences? It would almost guarantee a better record. Thoughts....

Note: This is just a hypothetical question to gauge people's feelings on winning vs which conference we are in. Please don't drag me through the mud, as I love being in the SEC, but I also like winning more frequently.

I think this a valid question. The answer is no for sure though. The SEC is the premiere conference. Being a member of the SEC helps our recruiting and our prestige, money from t.v. contracts, national exposure, etc. It's tough that we aren't doing so hot right now but thats life in the SEC. Bama was down for a while and now they are back. It's a cycle just have to be patient. The SEC is where it is at and I for one would not want to be in any other conference.

I say go back to the southern conference and take the face masks off our helmets and add about 2 ft of material to the cheerleading skirts.

Were you able to read the "hypothetical" portion of the question? This was just to see what other fans thoughts were.

Thanks for your input. That's what I was trying to get out of this. To try and see what was more important to the everyday fan.

And what exactly is our recent record vs. the ACC?

UNC- L
Va Tech- L
Clemson- L
Maryland- L
Duke- W (from 2003 I think)

NOPE...Stay in the SEC.

We would be the laughing stock of college football, more so than we already are. Dumb thread is dumb.

USC- L

I'm not saying we should, but the ACC would be an easier schedule. The way our team has been playing suggest we don't deserve to be in the SEC though.

Next year will be the proof. We need to (and I think will) step it up and get some respect earned back again.

If I was told TN would be joining the ACC or Big 10 I would QUIT being a fan on the spot and I would NEVER admit to ever having been one. There is nothing that compares to being part of the Southeastern Conference.

If you want cupcakes in the fall go to a bakery~~ if you want to watch REAL college football then turn on SEC games on Saturday. True fans, true tradition, and true envy from others wishing they could only be so lucky:good!:

We would not get the SEC caliber recruits if we were in a different conference so we would eventually be in the same boat so... No
