Biased Official

Official who claimed forward progress was halted was fraternizing with Purdue HC during game. Bias obvious.

Don't doubt what you say, but video proof would be nice. (if you are like me all you could do would be to tell where to see this happening)

If I remember correctly, one of the announcers last night said the call was made by the end zone official. Which one, the one who could actually see the play, or the one on the other side of the field? The rules allow offensive players to push or pull a ball carrier forward. Was that not what was happening? Wright on not in contact with the ground, he is on top of the Purdue player and the offensive lineman has a grip in Wright and is pulling him forward. Why was the play considered dead?

This is probably the video he is referring to.

Yes, that is the video
I saw this too. Ref got a little thirsty. Didn’t think much of it then. Just getting a drink from the water girl.
But then……
. Yes, thanks. Makes one believe that official wanted forward progress to be stopped - consciously or subconsciously. Not a good look.

By sheer incompetence/bias of the officiating crew. The rule in question CLEARLY calls that specific circumstance REVIEWABLE, despite the what the crew and media had to say about it. Other posters have done a fine job of posting the rule in other threads. Once you lie about what the rule is, gross incompetence becomes obvious bias and should be spoken of in that manner. The media has no business perpetuating BS about the situation; however, in this country, the media rarely shares the actual truth about anything.

Thanks may just be a thanks for a drink. This happens all the time. However there sure seems to be a "little extra" in this exchange.

Being cordial is OK, Giving a double love tap not so much...
