BG talks about explosive offense post-game

Good for them. Hopefully they go out there and beat Maryland next week. It sure would make me feel alot more confident going into the Oklahoma game that night.

Cut em' some slack man.

They had that place quiet on more than one occasion. They gashed us for over 500 yards of total offense. They kept us in a real game for 3 quarters (which I'm glad for btw).

For a "lamb led to $laughter" they have a lot to hang their hats on. They may make some waves in their world this season.

Dave Clawson certainly didn't leave the cupboard bare...

Hopefully, they go out and and demolish teams. Looks better for us if they score 50 every week.

I'd say their offense was impressive considering how over-matched they were, but I think they're explosiveness will occur later in the season against lesser opponents than the Vols.

Their OL is legit. They work well as a unit and gave their Qb a ton of time to pick us apart. We played man all day and barely got a pass rush, resulting in getting burnt a ton.

Considering the article was naturally focusing only on BG's achievements, it was a fair article.

The biggest error is in the headline which said the game was played at Tennessee.

BGSU got paid $1.2 million to be that explosive. Hopefully, we'll get our money's worth and use it as field testing on how to improve our secondary and pass rush before we face Okla next week.

Good for them. This was their Super Bowl and the Offense came out swinging. They kept it a ball game going into the 4th . They should be proud.

I'm glad this wasn't a pushover. This game exposed some weaknesses and gave the staff something to work on. Perfect game before facing the air raid of the Sooners IMO.

I must admit their offense shocked me and I know their strategy is to out score their opponent, but all offense and no defense (June Jones and others) is fools gold. There has never been a team to consistently win at levels above high school without an average defense. Their coach openly admitted that he was not that concerned with the D. I hope it works for them.

I read on their twitter account that Saturday night against us was the 7th time in 15 games under the current coach that they have went for 500 yds of offense.

Sounds pretty explosive to me.

I liked their coach. Seemed like a good guy. He gave UT credit where necessary.

Me too! The guy called the game the way it played out and I think his perspective was spot on. We did get away with a few things and also outmatched their players as he explained in Special teams.

Laugh all you want but they have a good reason to be happy about their offensive performance. If their defense had been average, then they likely would have beaten us.

I wasn't laughing at Bowling Green. I just found their hubris amusing. If 30-points is explosive, then what superlative would apply to 59 points? I'm not disparaging BG at all. Barring injury to any key players, I think they'll go on to have a great season.
