Beware: Something is going on at Mississippi State

Actually.
They are 26th in total defense.

It’s pretty obvious people in this thread havent watched MSU this year. Understandable.

But they’re fast at every position. QB, RB, WR. Their TE Traore is an athletic mismatch.

They look to be one of the most complete teams relative to to their talent.

They can beat us. We need Hobbs and Moi and McCoy
Wow - did not know that until you pointed it out here.
So they are more like the UT of 2022 than Heupel's 2nd year...that scares me even more.

I still don't think they have depth at those spots to go deep into the 4th quarter with us, but like we proved in '22, it can happen.
I just hope we aren't their "Bama 22" game where they play lights out.

We will rush for 250 and pass for the same or more. They will obviously score on us but we are supposed to get 2 D linemen back. GBO!’

"Arkansas blew a lead to Oklahoma St and beat a bad UAB team by 10. Quit acting like this will be close"

"South Carolina lost to UF by 32. Quit acting like this will be close." Well that one actually wasn't close.
This team is the exact same as those situations too! With Nico at QB and SC knowing our plays

It isn't about being "right." I didn't say that we are going to lose this game, or even that it will be close.

Your initial comment was eye rolling the board expressing concerns about the game. All I'm saying is that there are good reasons for that.
Again I’ve seen both teams play and pretty confident that those worrying about MsU or Vandy are simply BVS in action. We are easily one of the top 3 teams in the SEC

2023 Missouri.

I love Heup - he's been great for our program, but this is an established thing with him. Happened at UCF too.
Yes. I would add 2022 SC to that too. I recently saw a replay of the 1994 UT/MSU game. MSU won 24-21. UT went into that game ranked. We had Manning, Kent, Nash, Hayden, Stewart, and Graham on offense. And lost.

I expect UT to win, but the line moving is concerning. Vegas was pretty accurate with the UGA spread.

Happens when you have 2 INTs and lose 4/5 fumbles along with 10 penalties for 100 yards. 94 has zero to do with Saturday's game

I think we have a real leader in Joey at QB that will lead us to victory in most of our games this year. That guy is a real gammer.
This will be the first time we’ve seen him on the road though. People forget he came in on a very short time table to learn the offense. State is good enough to give us trouble if we shoot ourselves in the foot on offense or special teams. Really would be nice for both Brazzell and Joey to have a good game.

Random Q for the board.

Are cake walks still a thing? I remember those being always present at our annual middle school fundraising carnival.
The last one my wife went to was almost a decade ago. Ladies group meeting. We ended up with a delicious homeade chocolate cake an elderly lady made. Older church ladies make the best food. It's science.
