Beware: Something is going on at Mississippi State

Well, I hope we don’t show up Saturday thinking this will be a cakewalk. We’ll be looking at Arky 2024 2.0 if that happens. Yeah, I know Nico is gone
I think we have a real leader in Joey at QB that will lead us to victory in most of our games this year. That guy is a real gammer.

Definitely going to be a challenge. We need to come out ready to play and get a lead to take the crowd out of the game. They’ve got some solid weapons and we know our secondary has been our weak link so far.

Even though this is a game we “should” win, we need to come out with the proper mentality and handle business.

Ms. St. is UT 4 years ago.
Getting the offense set up to hum and roll, but just don't have the horses to run yet.

They are going to be good in the next 3 to 5 years...heaven help the SEC if they find a defense too.

Arizona St was a CFP team last year, who almost (and you could argue should have) beat Texas. They lost Skattebo to the draft but returned a QB and some other players. They aren't bad.
MSU needed a miracle Hail Mary to beat ASU and NIU shut them down for the half the game. Quit acting like this will be close

Eh I don't know about that. They are still at a huge recruiting disadvantage. In this new era of 9 SEC games and 16 overall teams, I don't know that MS St will ever see 10 wins again (and they've only seen it twice in their history).

If Lebby is still there in 5-6 years, I would surprised.

Actually.
They are 26th in total defense.

It’s pretty obvious people in this thread havent watched MSU this year. Understandable.

But they’re fast at every position. QB, RB, WR. Their TE Traore is an athletic mismatch.

They look to be one of the most complete teams relative to to their talent.

They can beat us. We need Hobbs and Moi and McCoy

Agreed

I have UT winning this game comfortably if we aren't sloppy but we could easily lose if it is a similar performance like the arky game last year. The reality is that UT's roster is much better top to bottom than MS State.
I bet JA is not visiting another school. I am certain he is locked in.
But I do wonder what Vegas knows...

"Arkansas blew a lead to Oklahoma St and beat a bad UAB team by 10. Quit acting like this will be close"

"South Carolina lost to UF by 32. Quit acting like this will be close." Well that one actually wasn't close.

I'm sorry if you cannot protect your own turf then your acceptable for losses on the road no matter the competition. Arkansas still fresh in my mind. Vols needs to be ready.
This one is my pick for the annual stinker game.
