My dad used to always say "better to be lucky than good."

I kind of feel a bit that way about how that overtime touchdown fumble and recovery went.

Need luck to win championships.
I see about 8 wins this season, I hope.
Debord will be the end of Jones.

I didn't get to go to the game. A few people there commented that Hurd was hurt. Any info?

My hats off to App St. They played a better game then we did.

Good luck to them for the rest of the year.

Has it ever occurred to any of you that Appy State was much better than most of you cared to admit? UT played a very uninspired game against a very scrappy team that had nothing to lose and was very fortunate to come away with a win. They learned a very valuable lesson about looking ahead to their next opponents. They did not take ASU very serious and it showed.

That was more than luck. I feel like Appy state was the better team for 3 1/2 quarters and we are very fortunate to be able to live to fight another game. If this was ANY other SEC team we just got beat the F up! I was excited for Shoop's debut but he didn't show me anything and DeBord's play calling was even worse, if that's possible. We need to wake the F up!!!!!

I don't know how we overlooked this team when our OC was one the UM staff that lost to App St in what will be remembered as one of the biggest upsets of all time. I was very sure our staff wouldn't let the team overlook these guys. Our O line looked bad and Dobbs made some very bad decisions, but everyone in the world knew by the third or so series that two out of every three plays was going to be Hurd up the middle. I think the staff was even overlooking them, that or we just suck on O.
