We are better than expected. I had high hopes and they have exceeded my expectations so far.

I think 9 wins is very realistic. As long as we go into our games with a run first attitude and use our talented backfield we will be in every game this year. This will alos keep the errors down in our passing game. '89 all over again baby. BCS here we come, MARK IT DOWN!!!

I'm cautiously optomistic, but not BCS optomistic. We hammered one of the bottom 10 teams in FBS..

Better than expected only without a coaching change. Its not where this staff wants to be

I was at the game. Awesome. Simply awesome. Yes, it was Western Kentucky. But remember how it used to be? A team like Western Kentucky would come into Neyland Stadium as a 30-point underdog and Tennessee would hold on for a 21-7 or 17-7 win. It felt good to see Tennessee whip an underdog like we're supposed to! Go VOLS!

This team is so similar to the '89 team its scary. I know I am out on a limb here, but I think we are going to a BCS game!!! Tennessee will be back on the college football map by year's end. Just a feeling I have. Go Vols!!!!

I would love it, but Jesus.

WTF? Not sure what you're saying.

My point of view, hell yea, this is a step up. This staff called a hell of a game.

better than expected from last year, but all that really does at this point is show that we're not going to lose to some wyoming caliber team this year, will make a bowl game, and will be able to upset someone out of uga, bama, and ole miss.

that said, a good beating against a team that was I-AA a year ago is not at all an indicator of a 10-win season. That first quarter showed some work we need to with all those fumbles and crompton throwing 2 picks against such a bad team.

This was exactly what I expected with this staff. Go big or go home. We aren't a good football team yet.l

We can beat Ole Miss, and I have been saying that since before our recruiting class haul last year.

We will surprise on of the big three, and with luck maybe two (with a lot of luck). I think we can beat UF if we have a lot of help and good fortune. Nothing is impossible.

UF isn't impossible, but the offense is going to need to play a near perfect game. It can't fumble at all like it did in this game, and they crompton can't throw any picks like that first one. We turn the ball over again like that and the gators will be up by 3 TDs before halftime....

I totally agree with you. That is why I am very concerned about the two interceptions. Those INTs happened early in the game and with a good team that could put us down two TDs. We then play catch up. Who want's to play catch up with UF? We have done that enough.

As impressed as I was with the O, those turnovers are a killer against quality foes.

I think they went beyond anyone's realistic expectations today. No one in their right mind without just trying to be too much of a homer would have thought we'd rack up 657 yards of offense and nearly 400 on the ground. Nor would Crompton have 5 tds.

The defense did what I thought they'd do. I expected a reasonable offensive showing, but this was just ridiculous. lol

Big win today for our guys but it only gets tougher from here . UCLA will be a more worthy opponent next week . I will temper my expectations for a while ! GO VOLS
