E.J. Manuel will have a better supporting cast (no offense to the Vols), so you're at the disadvantage there.

Did you guys specify just passing stats? Rushing stats? Manuel has some mobility to him.

Will all of Manuel's picks factor into the equation (He was 4 and 4 last season, TDs/Ints).

Um... I guess I don't know a lot about Florida State's offense but I'm guessing you don't know a lot about Tennessee's. Tennessee's O-line, WR's and RB's should be pretty freaking good this year.

Also, if Manuel puts up better stats, that wouldn't be proof of a better supporting cast because the ACC plays some of the worst defense in the country. SEC plays some of the best.

Maybe you should look up a little bit on FSU's offense then. I know quite a bit about UT's offense (and defense). It's all I hear about on a daily basis.

Bray started the second half, and might would have beaten them if he started. Might want to research some of your wild claims.

Manuel came in late 2nd qtr for Ponder as well, so the claim isn't really that wild.

I can not believe that cat said FSU has a better supporting cast. What a baffoon.

Can't tell if you're serious or not. FSU is a consensus preseason top 5 team. 9 starters on O returning for a team that beat up on South Carolina in the Chicken Bowl.

or are you pulling my leg?

Okay, let me get some thoughts on my chances of winning this. My son is currently a sophomore at FSU and is obviously excited for football to start in Tallahassee. I have stepped out in support of Tyler Bray and said I believe, stat wise only, he will have a better year than E.J. Manuel. He laughed me out of the room.
I don't believe Bray is the next great qb but do believe he is talented and will have a good year. Did I let me heart override my head???

I believe it is a 50/50 situation since both QB's are only about average at this point in their careers. If your son is so confident then tell him he can can pay for the last two years of school at fSU if Bray is better stats wise at the end of the year. Since you are probably already paying some or all of his schooling, it would not be a losing situation. :) I bet he wont be so confident after you propose this.

i'd pick bray over manuel fo sho - what did u base it on? Production of offense as a whole? QB rating? rushing/passing combined TD's?
