Best Whiskey

Had to put down one of my two dogs today. Tonight made an oak fire in the pit, drank a double of Buffalo Trace, then a single of Deanston single malt, while patting my remaining dog, to reassure her.

Just mixed my Jim Beam rye with the Deanston single malt scotch ... the result better than either of the ingredients alone. So, no, I aint no whiskey purist.

Nice link. One of my favorite bands, a collection of the greatest talent in modern bluegrass. Catch them live if you haven't yet!

I have heard great things about JD single barrel. I have yet to try it though.

Single barrel is very good. Smooth with a good kick but is expensive if you are going to be drinking it all the time... unless you are a high roller.

Powers Gold Label and Michael Collins! My favorite Irish whiskeys.

Just read through the whole thread and can't believe these two haven't been mentioned yet! If yall get the chance, try 'em out. Tasty whiskey that won't put a hole in your wallet!

Relatively easy to find, at least here. And expensive. Not sure how prices compare, but it goes for about the same amount as Macallan 18 here.

I have a bottle of Feckin' Whiskey (Irish Whiskey). Not bad

I still prefer a wheat bourbon such as Maker's. I'm going to pay homage right after this post.

I'll have to try these; have only had Bushmills Black and I like that fine.

I'll have to try the Feckin' ... especially as a tribute to Father Jack ("Feck! Drink! Gurls!")
