I will be driving on the interstate for six hours while the game is on this weekend. What is the best way to listen to the game live? In the past have just used my phone to connect to my local radio station that carries the games, WQUT. Is there a batter way? How do YOU listen to games?

Tennessee athletics app will have a stream of game plus post game interviews

WIVK 107.7 or WNML 99.1 should be available through the iheartradio app. I've not used it in a while but that's how I used to listen to Knoxville sports talk.

You can also livestream from the WNML website. They also have an app.

Download the WNML Mobile App Powered by Big Kahuna Wings

*I livestream the Josh and Swain show sometimes from that website

WNML is the flagship. Minus any app you can just type that in and the Internet will direct you to their page. Click on listen live, and you win.

If what your driving has Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, the Varsity app actually works very well within those systems.

The UT app or Varsity will also work well just using your phone/bluetooth.

The Sports Animal app may be THE most frustrating piece of crap to use. I would definitely try one of the other suggestions above.

I stream WIVK. Even when I'm not traveling- Would rather listen to that even in front of the TV.

The "lag" can be remedied by pausing the TV and syncing up. A little tricky there, but even if I can't get it totally synced, it's still better (to me, not my kids - they don't understand).

Mike Keith should bring a refreshing flavor to the VOL network. Beats listening to some Bama, Georgia or Florida homer in the TV broadcast booth.

I'm pretty sure WIVK is the flagship. Could be wrong. In the stadium, WIVK is "real time" (no lag). Any other way, the broadcast is behind what is happening on the field.

Using my phone, I’ve listened live via WIVK website without issue on trips through rural Georgia while headed to the coast.
Also, you don't need an "app" except the browser to do this. I have tried "I heart radio, I tuner" and others. I'm a little suspicious of apps, and they squeeze in ads sometimes when you don't want them. I agree this is the best way when using phone.

Of course grandma will call when it's 4th and goal with 5 seconds left in the game.o_O

For the first time since John Ward retired, I will once again watch the tv with the sound off and the Vol radio network on . Hopefully, I can get it the sound to sync up with the video.
Excited about Mike Keith.
Couldn’t stand BK.
Me too, been waiting on Mike Keith for 27 years. Kesling was terrible
