We're staying 10 minutes east of Sevierville. Should we come in on 411 and route around Henley, or get up on 40 and roll in that way?

We don't have parking passes and will be looking for a pay lot somewhere. Thanks! :hi:

Well if you take 411 you'll end up in Maryville, kind of a long way to get there.

Stay on I-40. If you do not mind walking, there is a free lot on State Street. You can walk through Market Square with lots of weekend vendors.

@golfballs, well played sir. *tips hat*

We got in last night and went into Knoxville on 411 and came back on 40. Interstate was quicker, but I didn't know how traffic would be on either road. Sounds like 40 may be the way to go...

Take 40 in, then it depends on where you want to park. If you want to be on the strip there are several spots to park behind it.

You can also park in the Old City for free and pay $5.00 and ride trolley to game and back. I would take I-40 into Knoxville.

We're not drinkers so the Strip isn't a priority, though good food is. :) So it sounds like the trolley and Old City parking is what we'll do. Thanks volfan411!

Mind if I ask what the easiest way into the Old City is from 40?

Coming from Sevierville get off on James White Parkway and then take the Summit Hill exit. Then take a right at red light and right at next red light. Go to stop sign and take a left and you can park under the interstate.

I have not been there in a while but Barleys used to have really good pizza. I am not sure about the other establishments down there. There is also good food on Market Square which is a short walk or you can also park there and walk to stadium if you do not mind walking.

Yep, I agree, this is the best. Take the downtown exit James White Parkway, right after Cherry Street, get off on Summitt Hill, the left on Central. The garage is on your right. You can enter from Union Avenue or go around the block to State Street.

Thanks Macro and Volfan411 for the help, I've got it mapped and loaded into the GPS. We're ready to go as soon as the wifey gets ready. Thanks everyone else for the early morning humor. *thumbs up* GBO!

Not drinkers? A rare thing to find on game day. As long as you can get as loud as the drunks, you'll fit in just fine

Hit Neyland Dr. at about 120mph and slam your car into the Ga. bus!
