Fox Sports Knoxville. They just do so much right.

Funny Informative Morning Show
Varied and engaging mid morning show
Professional high quality midday show.
The best afternoon show around.
High end evening guys.

All local from like 7:00am to 7:00pm.

PLUS the greatest post game show you’ve ever heard. The Voluntary Reaction! Feels like sitting around with close friends, drinking beer, and talking UT football.

I listen to Sports 180 on podcast from time to time. Not a fan of Will West but Josh Ward makes up for it. I’ve mostly been listening to his Locked On Vols podcast in the morning when I’m headed to work. Don’t have much time to listen to other shows but he seems to cover everything pretty well in those 30 min. Probably not your best option if you’re looking for UpToDate news on the OC though.

I use IHeart radio. They only have WMNL. I would suggest looking at the Swain app and fox sports as well.

104.5 in Nashville but they talk a lot of Titans and Predators now days. They still talk more about the Vols than any other Nashville station
1045 sucks, esp 3HL. They probably talk a total of 10 minutes per week about the Vols. Used to be better, but I think Pruitt snubbed them. Rightfully so

Do yourself a favor an pay $2/mo for SiriusXM Radio. The local hacks don't know any more than anyone on this board, and the production quality is unbearable - constantly having to adjust the volume bc they don't understand how to speak into the mic but when they do it busts your speakers.

Plus, there isn't much to tune into nowadays anyway. Until we take our sports programs serious, I will be getting my sports info from Sirius. ba-dam-ch

I prefer Fox Sports Knoxville. They add fun to their shows, and are mostly just regular fans like 99% of us, not paid mouth pieces. They may not always be right but the ride is fun. And the post game show Voluntary Reaction after football games and some basketball games is a riot, especially the app only parts.

I don't mind WNML. They're the "closest" to the university and aren't going to stray too far off the path for which they are blasted for. Then you have Will West who tends to speak his mind and fans whine about that because he's not a homer. Both sides whining they must be doing something right.

With all the coaching search going on I would like to keep up with what's being said. What are the best radio stations to listen to in the Nashville and Knoxville areas? In West Tennessee we have no Tennessee football shows.

I listen to 104.5 in Nashville. I try to catch them when they talk about U.T. or Predators but try to avoid them when they talk about Titans. Sunday mornings are a good time to catch Doug Matthews when he discusses U.T. football. It is usually spot on.

I enjoy Basilio, you can tell he has real love and passion for UT. He also lets the callers speak their minds and doesn't immediately poo poo on them like Hyams.

I swear Hyams is so negative and disagreeable. You could call in and say "Hey Jimmy, you're the best!", and he would immediately pull out a bunch of statistics showing why he isn't really the best and you're wrong.

My listening goes like this Jason Swain 7-10, fox sports knox till 10-11, Basilio 12- 1, back to fox sports knox for trey wallace 1-3 and the drive 3-6, later catch up on fox sports knox moring show on podcast.

Gives you nice variety of entertainment and info.

If you have a podcast app all the fox knox stuff is there and they have an app
Tony has an app and is on tune-in app on station wjbe
Swain has an app

Also follow trey wallace on periscope, he does great liittle chats sever nights a week.

104.5 in Nashville is the best here. Doug Mathews has two shows. Football Saturday and Big Orange Sunday. I don’t mind the midday show as much as some. Not a lot of Vols but Withrow and Kuharsky are entertaining to me. A lot of people get their feelings hurt by Kuharsky and then bellyache about the show. He’s just playing his part.

The Drive on FSR is pretty good, but Russell Smith's voice "talent" commercials leave a lot to be desired.
