If we are talking about recruiting staff, I would say TN has best staff in college football. If we are talking about coaching staff, I’ll let you know in a couple of years. What do you guys think? Are you as excited about this staff as I am? So far there is nothing to be disappointed about. If these guys can coach the players up then success will come much sooner than later.

Only time will tell. Way too early, but anyone being negative at this point is just looking for any reason to be. Things are trending in the right direction!

Let’s see how he does next season first.

Need to see a lot more on the recruiting trail and on Saturdays before even considering this. I am optimistic but cautious....

Another Fulmerista...

Plug this into your risk calculator.

1. An offensive coordinator who has never called plays.

2. A defensive coordinator who has never been more than a linebacker coach.

3. A head coach who has never been a head coach at any level.

If any of those three fail, we are back here in four years. There's plenty of reason to worry.

Best staff in SEC E would be a good place to start. I'd say we are probably looking up at UGA but that's not bad place to start. It's ultimately all about the fit and the culture Pruitt creates to let them thrive. Shoop was great on paper and Hoke on DL but for some reason didn't translate.

Now that you've explained it to all of us dumb asses, I'm really scared and worried. Thank you for warning me.

I'm definitely more impressed with the staff Pruitt is building than the one Butch Jones had. We had a few good coaches during the Butch years (Warren, Gillespie, Bajakian, Azzanni), but we never had enough, and the offensive staff in 2017 should go down as one of the worst in history.

No. Accordzing to the national sports media, we missed out in the next Nick Saban in Greg Schiano. Never mind that absolutely no other schools even considered him for their positions.

As long as this staff doesn't create the most conservative game plans that are so predictable and vanilla(They won't.), we will all be happy how 2018 ends up.

Go Vols!
