With Jackson back in the mix we have the best secondary in the conference, brewer, waggner and all the newcomers I'm felling better now about defending the pass.

It'll keep us in games against teams who run the spread, but pro style, were in trouble.

with a solid to excellent front 7, the best secondary in the sec, peyton at qb, moss and TO at wr, I'm thinking 14-0

No we don't. There are at least two teams in the west that have better secondaries than we do.

I try hard not to be too entertained by the legion of Gator fans that have drug themselves out of the swamp and onto the board.

Comments like this make that a challenge.

Ha ha Gator, we do have a lot of kool aid drinkers on here. What is funny is without a good front 7, a great secondary can look average to bad at times. They should study the game of football more, post less. Anyway hope springs eternal.

no one has any idea on the newcomers capabilities to perform at an SEC level. Can't include them in any discussion as "best in conference" until we see what they can do. that is true of kids at other schools who have not played also.

Log on to a Gator board sometime (I know, novel concept, right?) and you'll read just as much ridiculousness. Rival fans that scour these boards, worried about how scared VOLS fans are of their team, only feed the delusions of the masses. Y'all hang out here, 24/7, preaching to us how irrelevant we now are, but your presence suggests otherwise.

Even with Jackson, Tennessee is still 3rd behind Bama and LSU. And it's a fairly distant third.

There are crazies on the florida boards too. I call them out too. Reality is not a bad thing.

I think florida loses 4 or more games this season. So, my views are not clouded by being a gator.

Hell, florida may be the 6th toughest game on the vol schedule.

Well since BOTH of our teams are thin up front well see how it plays out. And come on, Moss and TO? I was thinking more along the lines of Jerry Rice and Tim Brown. This IS the SEC remember..

Ours could be one of the best but the Bams have the best secondary.

Maybe spend a little more time monitoring your own boards and fans? Just maybe?...

We have plenty of "fans" here to keep us grounded, jmho.

I agree all 3 west games are tougher with S Carolina and maybe UGA ahead of them.

I thought we had a relatively good secondary last year - just with no pass rush it makes it really tough - hopefully we can get more push up front and help those guys out a bit back there
