Look at the data Billy
“Data has zero to do with it”, but past seasons do? Power ratings don’t? Where is this “pretty much sec defense” story coming from? Which SEC defense? Ohio st. Is the only team in the country top five on both sides of the ball. Clemson is a powerhouse for beating ACC teams. You’re the funny one.Data has zero to do with it….
Clemson and Ohio State have had how many playoff matchups? I believe Clemson is 4-1 vs Ohio State in playoffs and post season. To imply that Ohio state would just run Clemson off the field when they pretty much have a SEC defense is laughable. Michigan is undersized on offense matched up to Clemson’s front 7.
Calling a blowout as a foregone conclusion is hilarious.

What do you mean by easy?Is the best/easiest way to get in the playoff to lose a close game to Georgia and win all other games, 11-1 ?
If your only loss comes against the #1 team in the nation and close then I think they definitely still get in. That’s more impressive than a conference title in my opinion by a team with one loss to a nobody that still wins conference. The acc and pac 12 aren’t very good and if Clemson loses then they are probably outside looking in due to a non impressive schedule. Georgia already waxed Oregon so nobody would want to see that one again likely. What do you mean by easy?
In my complete and honest opinion, I don't think UT gets in if they're a 1 loss team that didn't win their own division or conference. The way this season is playing out, Michigan or OSU are going to have one loss. I think a one loss Clemson team would get in ahead of the Vols as well as a 1 loss PAC12 champ especially UCLA/USC/Oregon.
If UT gets to the CG and loses a close one to Bama then maybe but not likely. But if UT wants in, the Vols have to win the SEC.
Do Ohio state and Michigan play this year? If so we need one of them to lose badly in that game.Best Scenario
SEC East
1-Tennessee 12-0
SEC West
1-Ole Miss 11-1
FBS Playoffs
#1 Tennessee vs #4 Michigan
#2 Ohio State vs #3 Georgia
National Championship Game
Tennessee vs Georgia
Cotton Bowl
10-2 Alabama vs 11-1 Cincinnati
Nick Saban announces his retirement before the Cotton Bowl game and the Cotton Bowl is his last game as Alabama Head Football Coach.

I’m sorry that numbers are confusing to you and that you think the guys who wore Clemson jerseys six years ago still play for them. If you’re talking about this season, Clemson’s hard games have been in the ACC. That’s harder than selling Thin Mints, but not by much. As for this year, they aren’t as good as OSU by anyone’s measurement. I’ll leave you alone to challenge gravity, breathe carbon monoxide fight other facts.Yeah. Clemson got their standing in college football by running through the ACC and nothing else over the past 5-6 years…. Make sense. And a Head to Head record is a lot more “data” than some fantasy “power index” that fan boys obviously swear by. Guess there shouldn’t be a postseason and just let the nerds figure it out.
I’m sure Clemson (and Dabo’s) record vs Ohio State have zero weight compared to your infamous “Vegas power index”
You’re acting like Clemson has done nothing lmao….
Clown boy
Yes. And Clemson has been a regular national player. Bama... is Bama. Their dominance gets them special consideration to a measure. The Vols have none of that going for them.Clemson's strength of schedule is way down the list, and didn't Bama get in the playoffs one year without out even going to the SEC CG?
