Yep. People have actually criticized Heupel for going for it there. It’s a non playoff bowl game; sure you want to win but most important is getting out healthy. Heupel knew he needed to score a TD there.

I honestly think the ref was like this could go on all night and I have plans for the evening. Just ready for it to be over or had money on Purdue, either way it was a crap call.

Fant should have picked up his block…then he would have had no pulling to do.

I wonder if he whiffed on the block because he was a receiving option on the play. What else could he have been thinking?

The more I look at the play, I wonder if Fant got feet/legs tangled up a little bit with another Tennessee player when he tried to cut to his right to block. Could have been enough to throw him off.
