Best Recruit for Each Recent Coach ?

I was looking over our recruiting classes on 247 and I had the idea to try and come up with a list of the best recruits from each recent head coach. I started with Johnny Majors. There were a few that I was torn about, so I listed more than one. I have no real leader in the clubhouse for CJH because there are many options. What does Vol Nation think? Agree, disagree and who gets the nod for CJH? Go Vols!!!


Majors – Reggie White
Fulmer – Peyton Manning
Kiffin – Bryce Brown
Dooley – Malik Jackson / Cordarrelle Patterson
Jones – Alvin Kamara / Trey Smith
Pruitt – Cedric Tillman / Jaylen Hyatt
Heupel ? James Pearce, Dylan Sampson, Nico Iamaleava someone else?

Might be Tyler Bray for Kiffin if we’re talking about impact, which is ironic since he never played for him.

If we are saying best player at UT and not highest rated recruit, then I’ll say Reggie White for Majors, Peyton for Fulmer, Ja’Wuan James for Kiffin (just barely got him committed before leaving), Cordarrelle for Dooley, Barnett for Butch, Hooker for Pruitt (just barely got him committed before getting fired), Pearce for Heupel.

One of the biggest busts I’ve seen. Kiffin pissed away the UCLA game giving it to that guy 4 straight times from the one only to see him run like a marshmallow to the LOS.
