Which freshmen wide receiver will go on to have the best career at tennessee?

Personally i think it's keese. His speed is ridiculous. will develop better hands and route running.

I think it'll be a toss up between Keese and Teague. Rogers didn't show me a lot on that screen he caught last game was expecting more out of him on that play. But Keese is improving you can see that he's getting more comfortable in the offense.

Teague has really, really, really impressed me so far. I think this guy could go down holding some UT records. I really love his future.

As far as receiving I'd say teague but if you add in returning kicks and the wildcat offense I would say nuke since he would have his hands on the ball more often. Both are good and things are looking up for the vols the next couple of years.

Didnt impress you on that screen? He got every yard possible out of that play. He started following his blockers to the sideline then made a very good cut back into the field. Had very good vision and a little bit of shake to make that one defender miss. With all that said, it is certainly plausible for you (or I) to make a determination about his future based on one fairly mundane play.

I think Teague has the best future at WR in this class. Because he has much more of the whole package than any other freshman WR. Hands, speed, route running, football IQ. That is obviously based on only what we have seen so far out of them.

Surprise, surprise. Lockdown1 isn't impressed with a white WR named Rogers.

No. It wasn't as pretty as some of the others but that was a VERY effective play. Again, no one will confuse him with Barry Sanders but the change of direction he made added several yards after the play easily could have been dead. If he's as fast as he supposedly is, he'll be an asset to UT.

I actually have no idea which will be more successful. Rogers could carve out a role for himself like Austin did but with more speed. Nuke and Teague both play a style that UT could recruit over in the next couple of classes. If that happens then Teague could still end up a DB and Nuke could become a Brandon James type of specialist.

I agree with this...I think Nuke and Teague will both have niches as smaller, quicker slot-type receivers, while the guys we are recruiting for next year and beyond (ambles, meline, cobbs) could become our big-play guys. Hopefully they're all successful and Bray spreads the wealth.

Also, I'm very glad to see Moore and GJones having an impact finally, but would love to see the roles for Nuke and Teague continue to expand as the '09 season wears on.

I wish they would bulk Rogers up a little and let him do Kick-Off Returns...If he hits a hole that dude is gone....He ran the 100 faster then L. Cooker...I like Nuke's speed but he is more of a shifty runner...he is more suited for Punts then kick-offs...

My thoughts exactly, Lockdown is completely wrong

Rogers looked so awkward running that screen, imo. Maybe that's just how the guy runs - but I was laughing while it happened and I turned to the guy next to me with a confused look on my face and he had the same look - he just looked goofy or something.

Has nothing to do with how good he could be - just found it entertaining - didn't figure a fast guy like him would run that way.

Teague has the great ability to get to the open spot in critical plays. Almost as if he and Crompton are on the same page.

We still have not seen Zach with an opportunity to show his full speed, if he had caught the slant he could have turned it up field because he had good separation from the corner.

I have to go with Teague. More of a complete package IMO.
Nuke scares me on returns. That guy has zero fear and it makes me think he's going to have some huge returns but he's also going to get hurt.

Seriously he'll need to be a lot better than Austin to play in the future WR corps. I actually wasn't bashing him but he does seem to run very upright and awkward with the ball. I would have rather seen Teague or Richardson in that spot. I think they would have made a few more yards. He made good yards on the play though even if it wasn't the prettiest of open field running.
