Best QB is Shrout

The accuracy he has had, especially on that TD, have nothing to do with garbage time or not. That’s quality.

I agree. But it's easier to make those passes in that situation.

We've seen Shrout make bad decisions with the ball when pressured. That's probably the most important aspect of being a good qb. Making smart decisions when the pressure is on.

It don’t matter who the QB is. If the receiver won’t even jump to try to catch a pass it’s all for naught.

I'm telling you, I don’t care if it's garbage time, start time, virtual time, whatever time, Shrout is the man. If he isn't given a legit chance going forward, he should transfer. You could see, he had command of the offense, a knowledge of what was being done, and the ability to make the throws. HB has a lot of talent, but Shrout is more ready. He should be the man going forward.

Shrout completed 86% of his passes today. Most people on this board couldn’t do that playing catch in their backyard. The things that really impressed me were his poise, decisive quick release, his accuracy, scrambling ability and his touch.

Yep. Like clockwork....the knee jerk crowd extolling the virtues of the back up QB in garbage time.

We have a really dumb fan base
I’m not going to judge right now. We have a really dumb head coach and it’s hard to recognize what good football looks like this year after watching this team.

Biggest takeaway is that all are perfectly capable of leading this team. The fact this is so evident even though they get limited 1st team reps is a real indictment on this staff
My biggest take away is we have an idiot for a coach that just wants to have a QB controversy.
What was the point running BM out there for a play unless HB was hurt or needed equipment fixed???
Don't get why JT was brought in either. HB wasn't looking bad for a fresh..
At this point if cornbread wanted to play different QB's he should've just taken all 3 to the side and said show me what you got and:
JT you got FL
BM you got A&M
HB you got Vandy(if the even bother to show:rolleyes:)
If I was Salters parents I'd be telling him we need to look at what other programs are interested in you.
I'm all for wanting to be a part of building something special and bringing a team back to the top but this coaching staff doesn't appear to have a clue

The comes off of JT's arm like a rocket ship!!!! He was composed, made great throws, and scored TD's....Let JT start the rest of the way....settled!

That's right, again, I like HB, but JT is more ready. JT won the day--much more accurate passing than HB.

they all looked better than JG...maybe we get to scrimmage Vandy next week and we can see more of both of them...

To say Maurer or Shrout or Bailey is the best hope for future qb, how would we know? All 3 quarterbacks have been screwed over by Pruitt. Pruitt picked his guy and for Years stubbornly gave him ALL practice reps with the first team receivers, oline, tight ends, etc. The others worked with backups. Pruitt understands nothing about the practice required for timing between qb’s and the receivers, oline, etc. He assumes he can just plug someone in, like he does on defense.

So, whenever we have seen any of the quarterbacks come in for jg, we are not seeing them at their best, because they have not been prepared to play with the first team. Btw, Mullen prepares all his quarterbacks to come in whenever he needs them.

Tonight, I thought Shrout looked great, he obviously was able to connect on the long ball. HB did very well, too, especially considering he’s a freshman. I‘ve always thought Maurer could be great as well. The thing is JG should never see the field again, and we really won’t know who should be the starting qb, until some good Head Coach prepares them all, and let’s the competition be fair. That is not Pruitt. He is clueless.

You just won the internet post of the day award! Very true arrangement of letters!

Post something smart before you call other people dumb.
