Ritzmann was a starter, captain, 12 sacks, scored 10 points, made 2 nfl rosters, first European to make a nfl roster. Not shabby.

I think you could also add Ainge #10. BTW, I didnt know this about Tony Robinson...

In 1987, during the strike, Robinson played in one game for the Redskins after Ed Rubbert was injured. He led the Redskins' replacement players to a 13-7 win over a Dallas Cowboys team that featured a number of players who had crossed the picket lines during the players' strike. Agree - Clausen is probably the most underrated QB for the Vols in the last 30 years. He was lights out on the road, which is so hard in this conference.

I have to agree with you here. Watching him run out of the pocket made me cringe, but he kept his composure 99% of the time in the worst situations.

Aside from just looking like Val Kilmer, "Ice Man" was appropriate for him.

This list is really for the countdown 99-1. There is another thread from last summer that someone was asking for this same list...it was never finished.

I'm confused - this thread is called the best player for each number.. Single player - so why are there multiples on several numbers? And especially numbers like 14 and 92 where its undisputed?
