Best Pizzeria in Knoxville

Let me know what you think. Where is the best place to grab a pizza before, during or after a game? Pizzerias only. No fast food place, no deliveries.

savelli's on sutherland used to be pretty good... haven't been there in a while... calzones/stromboli/pizza/etc.

Best I've found in the general area is Big Ed's in Oak Ridge. It's a little pricey ($18 for a pie and a pitcher) and a little bit of a ride from campus, but the taste made it worth it.

I love Big Ed's. When I was living in Clinton he used to bring us pizza and trade for our strawberries. I was young but would trade that any day. It was also the best part of playing Oak Ridge

elidio's and roman's are both great.. there used to be a nice old guy that worked at roman's... I think he owned it in part, but that's been years ago

I've heard really good things about Hard Knox....I may go there today.

There's a place on Chapman HWY (where Walmart used to be) that's pretty good. It's called I <3 NY Pizza. The Road to da Bronx is one of the best pizzas I've ever had.

If you want to make a drive, go to Seymour, Two J's has some fantastic pizza.

So the most he knows about us are that there are "cool" resturaunts in town...

That's the same thing I said on my visit those restuarants are good especially that pizza place it was pretty league. Haven't tried zaxbys but I might when I'm at the spring game.

there's a couple of Mellow Mushrooms...theres one in Chattanooga and i believe Charleston

I hate Mellow Mushroom. I haven't eaten there since the first week it opened. I despise anywhere that puts chunks of tomato in the pizza sauce.

Actually over a 100 now and they started near GA Tech I believe. We have one in Asheville also.
