I probably won't be around until the day of the game if not after. As always, it was fun talking with you guys. If you don't mind, I'd like to stick around a bit more and maybe you guys can find me a good Vol interview whether it be a football player, beat writer or the coaching staff so I can rep the SEC here in ACC (Almost Competitive Conference) territory. I hope you guys get treated with class and respect when you come down to Florida, but like I have said in previous threads... every fan base has their fair share of idiots and we're unfortunately no exception to that. We truly do have a unique and awesome rivalry going and it's a shame that it gets put in the back burner by drunken idiots, or stupid idiots who don't have their priorities straight. As some of you know, I pull for Tennessee after Florida and want you guys to do well outside of our game. The atmosphere at UT is one of the best in the country.

I'd like to remind you upstate South Carolina Vols to join the upstate Gator Club to watch the game at The American Pie Factory in Greenville. It's off of I-85 on Pelham road. It will be fun, and most of the Gators are older so you won't be heckled (maybe some friendly ribbing). Also, if you are in the upstate listen in to 104.9 The Drive on Sundays between 4-6 (when there's not a Falcons or Panthers game on). I am on the Sunday Football Wrap-up show and would love to have more of an SEC perspective/call ins.

I saw a rumor earlier that the band was going to play Rocky Top after each UF touchdown. That won't happen. I called my buddy (who works in the music dept) and assured me that it's only a message board rumor.

As I stated in the predict the score thread, I think Florida will win by the margin of 34-17... BUT the game will be a lot closer than the score indicates. The biggest key for you guys will be ball control/rushing. If you can't run the ball, it will be a long night. I'm sure I;m beating a dead horse with a stick, but just saying.

Thanks man, hope the rest of the fans are this civil. Heard lots of rumors about the Swamp, but I like to judge for myself.

If you're going to Gainesville for the first time, check out Leonardo's if you like pizza. I think they're still there. The Swamp restaurant is also really good. From what I've seen as long as your civil my fans will be civil. Let me know how everything turns out.

Before every game, the drumline practices outside the MUB by century tower (although that could have changed since they have a new music but I doubt it). The band gets out there as well so you can hear them warm up. Century Tower is also a well recognized landmark, and is one of the only true carillons in the States.

If it's a hot day and doesn't rain, PLEASE make sure you stay hydrated. Plenty of people get heat exhaustion so grab some water and keep cool.

i, for one, hope that florida fans will treat us with respect but like you said there is always and idiot in the crowd that wants to show himself. lets just hope he doesnt hurt anyone .good luck my friend...GO BIG ORANGE !!:clapping:

Classy post from a Gator ? Huh ? No, its not supposed to work like that....... Ummmmm.... Your supposed to say "Crompton Sucks" and then I am supossed to say "Eat a fat one Gator." But you did this all wrong. Oh Gawd!...........

That isnt trash talk...that is just stating facts.

I want to beat UF worse than ANY team on our schedule every year.....but as fans, we almost always fail to realize that opposing fans love their team just as much as we do, and deserve respect if they give it as well. I want to destroy UF at every opportunity, however, I also have more respect for what they have accomplished as a program than any other team in the country. Even though it makes me sick to admit ( :) ) UF is the gold standard (along with USC) that all program should strive for. We are on our way back though. A couple more recruiting classes like this incoming one is shaping up, and it will be back to UT/UF in the SEC East with everyone else as an after thought.
