He suffered a neck injury in a game. He came back that season. That offseason the Broncos tried to trade him to the Giants and he failed the physical. The Broncos then just cut him. He will not be able to play again because there is no doctor that will clear him for fear of breaking his neck and becoming paralyzed.

What a shame. I loved watching Peyton and Reggie and all the other greats, but Wilson is my favorite of all time. He practically beat Florida by himself. I have never seen a defensive player have more of an impact in a game.

I always like Ziegler and Keith Delong growing up, but Al was the best. He didn't always wrap up, but man he could hit. The Fla game in 98 was legendary.

I always wondered why Tyrone Hines didn't do more in the NFL.
