Best James Bond actor

His only good Bond film was Goldeneye…. And the video game was awesome

I gotta admit I have a soft spot for Tomorrow Never Dies, even if it commits the ultimate sin of being just a mediocre Bond film. For me, there’s like a sliding scale when it comes to evaluating these movies. It’s better to be a “so bad it’s kind of good” than a forgettable or boring Bond movie.

It's a matter of personal taste, but I think he is too dry.

In my opinion, Sean Connery was the coolest, but Roger Moore had the best blend of humor/sense of comedic timing. He humanized the role, and made the character less of a superhero. It worked. However, Moonraker is the dumbest Bond film ever ... by a mile.

I think A View To A Kill edges out Moonraker for dumbest. It is a bat **** insane movie.

I just think if you look goofy when you run, then you shouldn't be an action star. It's a deal-breaker for me, even tho the rest might be good.

Who was y’all’s favorite actor that played James Bond who you thought played him the best ? For me it’s Roger Moore I grew up as a kid watching his movies the most so I guess he resonated with me as the definitive 007. A close second would be Pierce Brosnan.
Halle Berry or Jane Seymour

Jane Seymour was smoking in Live and Let die and Halle Berry was the best thing about a otherwise bad Bond movie in Die another Day that scene with her walking out of the water is iconic.

I can’t believe that movie had two academy award winners (Dench and Berry - although Berry would win hers a couple of years after) and an academy award nominee (Rosamund Pike) and it was still such hot steaming garbage. That Halle Berry scene is the high point and really the only thing that I remember about it.

Connery is my favorite, followed by Craig. I actually grew up on the Connery Bond films due to my father's love of them.

Didn't watch the Dalton/Moore/Brosnan era until later in life and I thought a lot of them were cheesy.

Casino Royale is my favorite Bond film out of the entire franchise though, so had to throw Craig in there.

No love for George Lazenby?

I'll go with David Niven in the OG Casino Royale
I really like On her Majesty’s secret service and I thought Lazenby had the physical look and attributes he was a little wooden in his acting but I thought that could be improved in the next movie unfortunately he never got the chance. He kinda gets forgotten and it’s unfortunately I thought his movie was much better than the next one when Connery came back in Diamonds are forever. In fact I didn’t like the last two Bond movies Connery did I’m not counting Never say Never.

Connery and Craig were the best by far IMO.
Roger Moore did his best with some bad movies - Moon Raker and a View to a Kill are really bad. Liked The Man with the Golden Gun and For Your Eyes only.

A good non Bond Movie with Roger Moore is Ffolkes.
For Your Eyes Only was good, and seems underappreciated ... and I also really liked Octopussy.

I like Diamonds are Forever just for the Jimmy Dean parts.

On the subject of Bond girls.... While I wasn't crazy about The World is Not Enough,Sophie Marceau played an awesome villainess in it... Wow... Also,Ana de Armas was perfect as a Bond girl. Thought she should have had a bigger role in the last movie. This has gotten me interested in checking out a couple of Bond movies for nostalgias sake. I know my box set is around somewhere.

Roger Moore is my favorite one the most cool the most suave especially with the women, but yea I will admit some of his movies are the cheesiest ones of the bond films. He also was a little too old when he did Octopussy and A View to a Kill and it showed you can see his stuntman easily in both movies just doing basic fights and stuff. His two best movies imo is The spy who loved me and Live and Let Die.
Can't get past his...well...you know.

Think if Sean Connery had done On Her Majesty’s Secret Service it would have been one of the best bond films of all time. The opening scenes in diamonds are forever would have been more gratifying seeing Connery track down bloefeld. Instead Diamonds was a jumbled mess and one of the worst in the series

I had to buy the complete box set last year on Amazon it was marked down at a decent price it has all of them expect the most recent Craig one.

Anyone know what they're going to do with Bond moving forward? I hope they take a good, long break before they start it up again

They really need to just let it rest for a little bit. I think the longest break between Bond films was the 6 year gap between License to Kill and Goldeneye. I hope they make Henry Cavill the next bond he would do really good I believe and he is in good shape and still young enough only 39.

They should take Bond in a different direction. Have him be fat, lazy, old, and un-charismatic.
