This should show any big time recruit what our coaching staff does with talent. We actually coach them up unlike bama where they coach them dumb down. Imagine what we could do with P. Sims in 3 or 4 years where as the coaching he receives at bama will be worse than he received in high school. Case and point Julio received much better coaching in high school. His routes were so much better coming out of high school. They are ruining him just like they will ruin any other 5 star offensive skill player.

this is the greatest turnaround of a player I have ever witnessed. Last year he couldnt even complete a pass that wasnt to an opposing player. this year he has been the SEC player of the week. simply amazing.

This was the point I tried to make to Lawrence Wright, who implied the only thing that Kiffin brought was a talent for recruiting. To manage a team and be able to get the talent that is there from a player the way he has for Crompton and Co. is a dream come true for the fans of the team.

Jonathan Crompton, a sincere thank you for never giving up.

Thanks to Cromptons performance during the past few weeks we are now 5-4 with winning record since the WKU game and I think we can play with anybody in the country now........call me an optimist.

Since the Auburn game, Crompton is 94-157 (60%) for 1307 yards and a 16:2 touchdown to interception ratio...

That is a ridiculous stat from the Crompton that we used to know.

JC, I hope you read this. I was one of those that jumped up and down and wanted you on the sideline. How wrong I was. How incredibly strong in character you were. Not many people could have regained their composure and soared back like you have. I really think you have a future in the NFL. You have what it takes. I hope that you get what you deserve, and that is a lot. I think we will be watching you for a long time. The greatest prize seldom goes to those who live the enchanted life, but rather to those who face great challenge and conquer it. That would be you JC. We are proud of you. Now go take us 4-0. GBO!!!

Amazing. A few weeks ago many were ready to throw him under the bus. He got death threats, some so called "fans" were harassing his dad at the ball game. "Fans" were booing him in front of recruits. The treatment he got was unbecoming of UT "fans". I am really happy for him that he turned it around in spite of all of the petty crap he had to put up with.

barring injury Crompton will be drafted in the late rounds. i see him being a very good backup qb in the NFL for many years. who knows, he might even be a starter in the league

he should be the player of the week this week and second team all SEC behind "jesus the circumcisor"

During the Lane Kiiffin show, CLK said they were calling him 'jugs' in practice. Just point him and feed the ball in... haha

amazing that he had the personal strength to stick it out like he did and it will pay off throughout his life. I'm glad he's getting to truly enjoy his last season of playing for UT

Crompton is having a great second half of the season, but like Coach Kiffin pointed out he can't do it without the production from the wide receivers. I am not intending to take away what he has accomplished, but I think the entire offensive team has finally jelled and solidified an identity.

He isn't the greatest, but he has by far the greatest improvement year over year since Ainge. In fact his improvement since UCLA has been remarkable. And you can see it every week.

Last week we were talking about how they had dumbed down the offense to half of the field so that he could get it. Against Memphis he was looking off the DB's and firing bullets to open receivers on the other side.

In my opinion - whether we beat Ole Miss or not - JC deserves the comeback player of the year.

He also has my admiration and respect. From now on if I meet Jonathan, I will gladly shake his hand, look him in the eye, and tell him "I'm glad you were the quarterback of my Tennessee Vols. You have the heart and soul that we needed for that period of time. I just wish that we had gotten behind you earlier."
