Johnson has had chances to get them over the hump and blew it. The loss to MTSU in 2005 was a particularly bad piece of work. That said, it would not surprise me in the least to see SC come after Johnson when Spurrier leaves, or maybe even Clemson when they fire Bowden.

I can see that. LSU went after their last media darling, Di Nardo.

Bobby Johnson in 6 seasons at Vanderbilt - 20-50 (.286 win pct)

Woody Widenhofer in 5 seasons was 15-40 (.273 win pct)

Dinardo was 19-25 in 4 seasons. (.432 win pct)

So, no, Johnson isn't that good.

He beat a TERRIBLE offense which is the worst in the SEC. He has not done any more than Woody W. He still has not taken them to a bowl and he wont this year either.

You keep posting this but you should provide the supporting data.
BJ's Win/loss verse WW Win/loss
Not even taking into consideration BJ is playing in a much tougher SEC.
I hate vandy as much as the next guy - but BJ has produced some good wins/players over the past few years. No denying that.

At what point would, umm, USCe's coaching come under question? I seem to hear that coaching is the end-all/be-all of losing or winning games pretty often.

USCe's talent doesn't isn't on UT's talent level no matter what the media says.

As a TN Tech student I'm hoping Watson and the boys can pull the upset at Louisville today. That way I'll have some football to be excited about this season. UL looked pretty bad last week and TTU's QB started his career at UL so I'm sure he has a score to settle with them. IF they can pull it off my vote goes to Watson Brown.

really? In 30yrs of coaching he's never won more than 7 games.
