Garrett has 3 sacks vs. SEC schools - one each vs South Carolina, Miss. St. and Ole Miss. His remaining 8 have been against Louisiana Monroe, Rice, and Lamar (that's not even a real school!).
All 7 of Barnett's have been against South Carolina, Florida, and Ole Miss.
He also has 1.5 more tackles for a loss, and 7 more total tackles.
I'll take Barnett's season, which is 7 sacks and all are against SEC opponents than Garrett who has 8 of his 11 sacks against:
Lamar, Rice and Louisiana-Monroe.
Garrett has 2 total sacks against South Carolina and Ole Miss. Barnett has 6.
And Barnett has more tackles and tackles for loss.
And Barnett has only started 5 games and has only recently started getting reps at weak-side.

A few thoughts ...
#1 Barnett has been equally impressive in run support.
#2 Sacks are the glamour stats. He should have had at least 2 more against OU where he was talked from behind right in front of SEC officials.
#3 Talk @ destroying the credibility of an article. What on earth does this mean ...
"Its hard to compare the two players without seeing them face one another, but Barnett is an arguable candidate to challenge Myles Garrett as the SECs top freshman pass rusher."
... Somebody please help me here. How are Barnett and Myles going to "face one another"? Is that really the best way to compare them?
Can't wait to see Manning v Brady face to face to see who's better. LOL
