And while our colors might be orange (and sometimes black) ... you will note that it's Vandy that has a pentagram on their helmets. Just pointing that out.

Die Hard. And before anyone says it isn't.....yes it is.

I haven't seen Die Hard or the following 2 sequels in forever. At least not all the way through. Probably like 10+ years.

I did watch Live Free or Die Hard in theaters when it came out. It was just ok, but the ending was pretty awesome when he shoots through his own bullet wound. I can't recall watching the last one.

I never thought of this as a Halloween movie but I’m going to throw in Bubba Ho-Tep.

Elvis and JFK are alive and living in a rest home in rural Texas that gets terrorized by an ancient Egyptian mummy, so they have to step into action. Bruce Campbell is Elvis and Ossie Davis is JFK.

Surprisingly, it’s actually a quality film with more depth than one would think and it’s one of my favorite performances of Bruce Campbell, who’s always awesome anyway.

The Karate Kid

*if Die Hard is a Christmas movie, then The Karate Kid is a Halloween movie

I have two middle schoolers, yet we haven't watched E.T. in years. Problem is when my youngest was 3 or so, she had a traumatic dream where E.T. popped up out of the toilet and terrified her. You couldn't so much as say "phone home" for years afterward without her screaming and howling in tears. I am totally serious, no lie.

She's 11 now and still won't watch it, and turns away from pictures of it, even gets a little peeved if you mention E.T. She also realizes the whole thing's hilarious but still wants nothing to do with it.

Musta been some bad dream.

E.T. was a weird little dude.

I bet it’s been 30 years since I’ve seen E.T. I think I might just see if I can stream it this weekend.

I watched it about 2 years ago with my kids. My wife and I cackled at the 1980s parenting. Like the mom leaving the 4 year old at home by herself while she went to pick up Elliot.

Page 2, and nobody has mentioned The Rocky Horror Picture Show...

🤪
There was a time decades ago when all my associations with Rocky Horror were about the fun of late night viewings and all that entailed, but with that stuff all way behind me I find these days that it totally stands on its own as a movie. It's campy, funny, goofy and weird, with great music and an absolute tour de force performance by Tim Curry.

That's a great movie. I went to see it when it was released (it was only at Downtown West where you're most likely to find under the radar or artsy movies) because I've been a Bruce Campbell fan since Evil Dead 2. Geez, now I'm gonna go dig out my DVD copy....
