VT did it first fwiw.
I've never seen the UT entrance in person (i will in a few days!!) Jumping up and down to metallica really gets you pumped up like nothing else. It may not be for everyone, but it works for me.
The T carries great tradition and i can't wait to see it.

What you will see at the Dome is not any where close to what goes on in Neyland.

I know what you mean...I have been to a couple of games in Blacksburg and the jumping up and down to Metallica was pretty cool. Hell "Enter Sandman" used to be my ringtone on my cellphone :eek:lol:...not because of the Hokies but because I like the song. :thumbsup:

I'm a Vols fan first and really do like them coming out into the "T"...it's cool and really means something to me so sure...I like UT's entrance better BUT both are cool in their own way.

However I do know one thing...after watching the two Youtube videos from both schools...I'm pumped and can't friggen' wait for this game !!!! :rock:

Never have before. I'd be surprised to see it.

Generally, both bands will perform a shortened Pregame. UT will march straight off in the Power T.

At the SECCG both bands join up to play the National Anthem.

I commented in another post about the 1985 Sugar Bowl and the Vols running through the T.

Miami came out first and sort of just ran onto the field. UT's band was in formation on the field and then quickly formed the T without any of the other fanfare that usually goes with a home game.

Miami's players bull-rushed the top of the T and tried to cut it off as the Vol players ran through. They were obviously trying to intimidate us, but all they seemed to do was push around some band members and seal their fate.

Running through the T is awesome, but it is the growing anticipation of the full pregame band program that makes it the best. Sends chills down my back after the POTSL plays the opponent's song and the announcer says "And now, Here's Rocky Top!"

As a fan, I would love to see a video of the home game entrance for each team on the jumbotron as they are being introduced, then let them run out. That would be cool.

Metallica is great, but when that "T" opens up and 100,000+ fans erupt, that's magic. Everyone's entitled to their opinion and I'm definately biased, but I think our pre-game is the best in all of college football. GBO

My wife being A HUGE Va Tech fan we have to split the football season each year. We usually go to 2 games in blacksburg and then 2 games in Knox vegas !!! So with some experience with both I still LOVE running through the POWER T !!!! but on the other hand i have to say that when enter sandman starts and every person in that stadium is jumping like crazy it really does get ya jacked up for the kickoff ......last year we went to the Va Tech/ Fla State game and that was the first time the seminoles had played in lane stadium...... the hokies came out and the crowd was CRAZY i thought bobby bowden was going to **** his pants lmao....after that fla state didnt know hit them, so that was one of the only times i ever seen fla state get intimidated :mf_surrender:

That being said me and the wife will be in Atlanta this week...her in Hokie gear and me all ORANGE :rock:

GO VOLS !!!!!!!
