Hey guys, love reading over here more so than the football forum. You guys are much more positive and thanks for all the information. Very reliable posters on this site: skeeter, oci, jmoore, etc. Just a question here. If our current class stays together and we land Autry, sentimore, Jacobs (db), Davis, and Patterson (grades), could this be our best class ever?

I don't think so. The class fills alot of needs and builds depth. Tennessee has pulled 5 star talent in the past. We are just not back to that level yet.

How old are you? We had several classes in the 90s that made this one look puny.

no way one could even begin to claim that. especially considering all the NFL talent playing here in the 90s.

I took a human sexuality course during my junior year. There were 4 guys and 50 girls...best class ever.

If everything goes "as planned" in the 2012 season, and considering the start we already have on recruiting the 2013 class, I fully expect the 2013 class to be even better. Just need to win ball games.

That indeed is the problem.

The worst thing that could happen is another losing season. I think 3 in a row with the classes CDD has brought in and alot of recruits will see he is not the man to get it done in Knoxville. As of now, they are still buying what he is selling. He needs to win some big time SEC games to show recruits UT is headed back to the top of the mountain.

Best is relative. There have definitely been classes better talent wise than this one is shaping up as but, if we pull in the lineman and RB to take us to the next level, on a needs of the time level at least this could be. I could very easily be one of the most important. All in context.

We are not going to have a losing season next year. We will get 8 or 9 wins. Dooley and his coaches are bringing in talent and we have had two losing seasons. Just think what is gonna happen. We will be top 5 in the nation. You will see.:clapping:

Let me rephrase. Life long fan and I remember the classes in the 90's. I should have stated best class based off need. In the 90's we weren't building much. More like reloading. Bad title. First thread I've started and accidentally hit enter to fast.

I definitely hope you are right. But I have a feeling we wont see top 5 in the nation anytime soon.

With the way 2011 ended and the lack of improvement at just about every postion. I would think a losing season is as probable or even more so than a 9 win season. CDD has shown nothing to support people saying he can win 9 games. I understand the hope, but his career just does not support it. Top 5? I will have 2 of whatever your drinking.

I don't think you can truly measure how great a class is until 2 or 3 years after signing day. Anyone remember the '07 class?
