I don't keep up with the NBA as much as I used to and was wondering what the best landing sport would be for DK if the Lakers move him? I would love to see him be utilized better than this past season.

Miami or Dallas. Everything I hear makes it sound like he will eventually land in Miami, but maybe as a trade piece. That would be a perfect spot for him imo.

Smoke for DK going to UTAH for Kessler. That may die down with Ayton signing in LA.

Hope he goes to my Heat. He would fit in perfect with Heat culture and Coach Spro and perfect replacement for Duncan Robinson who left

Dalton would fit well in Orlando. Despite getting Bane they still need more perimeter shooting. He could be the 6th man for the Magic in my opinion.

Honestly? I wish the trade to Charlotte would have stuck. Not because I like Charlotte, but I think DK would have gotten to have solid minutes, be appreciated, and grow in a smaller market. And then he could cash in during his second contract in free agency.

I don’t think Charlotte would have been good to him. Something that often goes unnoticed is how being on a dysfunctional franchise early in your career can wreck your ability to keep learning how to compete, as you become complacent and motivated by personal success. That in turn can shorten your career, as you don’t have a strong incentive to improve your skills while you can still get by on physical talent.

I don’t know where, but I have to think he’d be better off out of LA.

When LA traded for Luka, it greatly impacted the needs for surrounding pieces. They need defense-first perimeter players to cover up for Luka’s poor defense; whereas DK is an offense-first player.

I’m a Dallas fan, and given how it turned out (and conspiracy theories are perfectly understood), the Mavs made out like bandits. Luka brings a jaw-dropping game in some ways, but it is not the solid all-around game that wins championships IMO.

Dallas got significantly better. The Lakers have a long way to go. And LeBron might have to go too.

I’d like to see DK get in a situation where he gets 10+ shots per night.

DK is struggling big time. Hate it for the young man but he honestly may have to rebuild his confidence in G league. His summer league play has been very poor. Wish he would be traded but frankly I’m not sure who would want him.

Exactly my feeling as well. Get him the hell out of LA and to a young and growing franchise like Charlotte, Detroit, or Orlando. Miami would be a great spot with Spo and his skill at maximizing his players.

Bronny outplaying DK in summer league was not on my bingo card. DK looks like he's still checked out.

Summer League is not far beyond glorified playground basketball. There are no established schemes or team defense, which is why you'll see various players light up the scoreboard and never get beyond G-League. Bronny James can succeed here, but will never be an NBA rotation player because he's a small guard who can't shoot. I'm not sure why Knecht is even here, to be honest.

I think JJ Redick has done a terrible job with DK…trying to turn him into something he is not. He is not just a “corner catch and 3” player. He is a three-level player.

DK would be much better off out of LA.

With that said, DK looks completely lost on defense and that is on him. If he doesn’t figure it out, he won’t be in the league very long.

DK has no place on the LA roster. He doesn’t fit what they are trying to do anymore, unfortunately. I still think he has the ability to be a consistent minutes guy in the NBA but he isn’t going to do that unless he gets the heck out of LA. The Lakers really need to try and find a taker for him.
