ESPN ZONE! New York City, NY. Sports heaven. I went right after 9 11. On Thanksgiving Day. I have more. My favorite in town is Bedies or Bev's.:):).The cabs were so cheap I think everyone was still in shock. They were (New Yorkers) all dressed in black so they could pick the tourist out! Ground zero was devastating. I'll never forget that. Oh, I forgot The Rainbow Room in the top of the NBC Tower. That's when my wife said, Honey, isn't this where the antrax broke out. I said YEA! Let's get a chocolate martini! They are not runnin this PATRIOT off this tower. F um.

Manhattan's in the Old City in Knoxville is an old favorite of mine. Haven't been there in years. Not even sure if it's still there.

The best bar in the world is the one where you know the bartenders by name, and they know what you'll be having and have it in front of you when your butt hits the stool.

The three people on either side of you are longtime familiar faces who know to ask about your mom, who just got out of the hospital.

There is a Tennessee jersey and various bric a brac from years of game parties on the walls.

The next three people who walk in the door say, 'hey, I saw your car and thought I'd stop in for minute...'

The tab is always just a wee bit shy of what you probably actually owe.

When you leave, the three things that had you completely pissed from the office just a couple of hours ago, are now distant and inconsequential memories.

...Wherever it is. That's a bar.

Have you been to Bedies IE ? The only reason he posted Bedies is because when a tornadoe comes through Mills and his wife go out there and order a beer from the storm shelter. Come to think of it that is pretty cool:cool2:

Brick Store Pub, in Decatur GA. Consistently rated among the top pubs in the U.S.

Brick Store Pub - Reviews - Beer Advocate

Seconded. They've got two amazing beers (Gordon, Storm King) on draft right now, so I'm trying to get over there as many times as possible before they change out. Top ten beer bar in the country. The wife and I are talking about moving over to Decatur, and the Brick Store is part of the reason for that conversation. (She loves good beer almost as much as I do.)
