Again the 95 game, of course the td pass to Kent on the first play but right before the half PM threw a touchdown pass to (I'd have to look at the tape to make sure) and the cameras picked up Gene Stallings having an absolute fit on the defensive coaches. :eek:lol::eek:lol:

My best memory is my first memory. Went to the '92 Vol/Bama game in Knoxville and as we're walking down Cumberland towards the game, a Vol fan in his car almost runs over some drunk Bama fan that wandered out in the middle of the road. The Vol fan throws his hands up as to say WTF. The Bama fan chucks his glass of beer on the Vol fan's car and immediately, the Vol fan jumps out and they beat the hell out of each other for a good 2 minutes. The as quickly as it started, they stopped and went about their business as if nothing had happened.

Also... on the way to the same game, we passed a house that had wrapped a large banner around the entire house that said :F%@k BAMA in letters that were at least 10' tall.

Ahhhhhh.... the memories.

No doubt about it 1982!!!! I had suffered for years prior to this. 1982 was so fantastic, it was as big if not bigger than any win over Florida in the last 10 years. I would put it right up there with the Sugar Vols of 85, oh yeah they beat bama too. I had clippings from Tennessee papers hanging on my beer fridge until they crumbled from my taking them down and reading the results to anyone who entered my basement! I am hoping beating Sabans crew this year will be as enjoyable. Having lived through the 1960's 70's and 80's
1982 and 85 were refreshing to say the least!:dance2:

Watching Johnny Jones take the pitch from Alan Cockeral and run straight towards all the Vol fans sitting in the endzone at Legion field.

That was the day Bama fans realized their dominance of Tennessee was over.I remember listening to the radio as we drove out of Bama and the consensus was that Perkins needed to be fired.:eek:lol:

i have many, but one of my favorites was in the 80's when i was in a remote location with no TV and only the voice of the vols fading in and out through the AM static, "johnny jones, racing down the sidelines, give --- him --- 6, johnny jones from mumford TN ... "

i still get fired up just thinking about it.

1986 game was the worst in my memory. We played at home against bama and we sport the Orange shoes on the 3:30 abc game.
I can not count how many times the Mike Shula would call the toss sweep to Bobby humphery. 56-28. Oh well. That was the beginning of the losing streak against the tide until 1995 was broken.

My 1st Bama game 1965 7-7 tie. My Uncle, a huge Bama fan, took me. I left a Volunteer forever.

1982- rushing the field. A buddy of mine, David "Duck" Chappell, carrying one of the uprights to the Longbranch. Danced in the middle of Cumberland that night.

1985- Dales Jones intercepts Shula

1995- the woodshed game 41-14

1999- whipping Bama in it's own backyard

2001. It wont be tops for a lot of people but it was the only time Ive been to the game in T-town. It was after the uga devastation so we didnt know how good our team would be. It was balls hot...we hit that point where youve been drinking all day and the night before but now youre really REALLY hot and sweaty and concerned that you might have a problem because youre shaking. And we were right next to the band...that just makes those away games better because you feel like you came with some backup and that you and everyone else are in it together. The game was close and I think we were losing in the 4th but came around to win. That was the start of our run in '01. That night we went to B-ham and had a ton of fun.

I love going to home games, but there is just something about going to a road game and winning that is untouchable, especially when its a rival.

It would have to be being at the 5 OT game in Tuscloosa in 2003. We were just barely in the stadium in BAMMER land and I thought the game was over. My entourage and I were leaving thinking we had lost and were on the circular walkway headed out. Bunch of BAMMERS thought it was over too and doing the same thing. I'm telling you, we ALL watched that game from there and NOBODY moved. It was my first attended VOL game ever and one that I will always remember. What an emotionally draining game that was, but how sweet it was to beat them on their playground. The BAMMERS walked out in stunned silence. We were relatively quiet too and just spent from the emotion of it all!!

Peerless Price's kickoff return in '98.

That's mine. That's when I truly believed we had a shot at it at all. Not only my most exciting moment in a Bama game, my most exciting moment in Neyland. Better than Florida '04, better than any other.
