Best and worst fans in the SEC

Let's hear everyone's stories and opinions on the best and the worst fan bases in the SEC outside of UT.
Personally I think SC fans are a class act. We went down to Columbia for the game in I believe 2004, we won the game and when we got back to our car we were just kinda hanging out waiting for traffic to clear out so we could head home. Well there were some SC fans a few cars up that invited us over to their big travel bus, we drank and had a good old time with those guys and we had never met them before. Just good old fashioned comradery amongst SEC fans.
As far as the worst... UF fans by a landslide. Same year, 2004, I'm in Knoxville the night before the game and we are over at the Krystal trying to get some food and this jerk UF fan in front of us starts picking a fight with my buddy. He gets in his face, I'm trying to break it up, then he gets in my face. Finally his much more sober friend tell him they need to leave before they get jumped by 30 UT fans. Just obnoxious to the highest degree.

You would have to be class to continue to support SC after all the crap they have been through...I wish we could defect some of their fans sometimes..

auburn's fanbase gets a dishonorable mention here as well

sc fans are among the best IMO, despite a few bad apples

I'm talking in terms of fan interaction, sure there are a few bad apples but I'm looking for the fan base as a whole. Also I went to Miss State for a year, they are some loyal fans and probably have the most realistic expectations of anyone in the league.

LSU fans are the most rude and obnoxious. Outside of the SEC, West Va fans are out of control and come to games wearing animal heads, etc.....

The Mississippi St. fans I have been around were alright. The GA fans I have been around are awful. Fl fans are bad but GA is worse IMO.

There is a really high number of smoking hot women at Vandy per capita. I have a hard time buying them as the least attractive. I could easily buy that Miss St. has the ugliest fanbase.

Seems a little contradictory. The one with Mississippi State is so true. Poor bastards.

OK, I had to do a double take after living in and around Nashville all my life. Then I got to thinking about "per capita..." and this came to mind:

Worst? Florida and it isn't even close.

I remember being down there for a game in the late 80's. As I was walking to the game with some buddies, some chick ran up to me and hit me in the head with a sign. The worst bunch of fans I've ever seen. I actually thought I might get killed that weekend.

Last time I ever went to the swamp.

I agree with an earlier post that South Carolina has the best fans I've seen. I've been to 8 SEC stadiums right now, and haven't really had a horrible experience with fans anywhere.

By loyal, I mean sticking with the team through thick and thin.
When Tennessee comes to town, it's amazing how many Vandy fans are mysteriously wearing orange.
On the other hand, when the Rebs head to Starkville, you won't see hardly any Bulldogs in Red and Blue.

While they're not as bad as Florida, Bama, or Georgia fans, UK fans are fairly close. Live up here for a little while and you'll understand where I'm coming from. For some reason they REALLY think they're going to beat the Vols every year we play. Its always the "year of the Cats" or something goofy like that and then when they wake up they say something about basketball. If I had a penny for everytime I've heard that, I'd be a very rich man. But in the end, Florida wins in a land slide.

Gone to several games in Starkville. Most hospitable fans ever! Great campus, and Little Dooeys!

It depends on who you happen interact with. All of the UGA fans I was around this weekend were great, but I know a lot of people have had horrible experiences with them. My worst experience was with LSU fans. They were incredibly obnoxious. But to keep things i perspective, I have heard from some UGA friends that vol fans are the most obnoxious ha ha.

I married a Vandy girl, so I may be biased. That said, from attending the occasional sorority party there, the women were impressive. Something about the combination of slightly superior brains and hotness was appealing.
