Born and raised here. Never lived anywhere else.

Ive been in several fist fights with both, had my car vandalized by a bammer (front tag was ripped off and broke the bumper in 94), had my favorite hat stolen and destroyed by bammers, nearly hit with binoculars by a Barner at the 98 game. When we finally broke bammers streak in 95, i was there with a bammer friend and his bammer parents. Not only did their own fans cuss them for bringing me to the bammer section, but at the end of the third quarter, I was pelted with mustard and ketchup packets for cheering. I was not in the visitors section but i was only cheering for my team. When i turned around to figure out who it was, the guy dove at me, fell down 3 rows on top of other bammers, and was quickly escorted to the gate.

I dont know where you live, but light ribbing is what i hope for wherever I go.
You might need to move to a better neighborhood lol. Crazy how our experiences are vastly different

Read a review the other day on a 2019 Ram 1500. This guy pretty much said every other truck brand is left in the dust by the new Ram 1500.
I looked at the '19 Rams and they are nice, but I just cant get over it being a Dodge and I have something against the brand I suppose. The 2019 Silverado's looks like crap though IMO

Sounds like the wearer more than the attire.
Judgemental much? Lol. All of those occurred at games or after a game. All provoked by losing teams. The hat issue was after the 97 SEC title game while i was living in Auburn. All because i wore my hat to my neighbors keg party. Am I supposed to hide my pride after a big win? Be bullied? I think not. The spirit of the Volunteers will not allow it.

Playing poker out in Cherokee, NC, I've gotten lots of crap from Bama fans. I feel like Cherokee should be our "home turf" still, but the Bama bandwagon has grown obnoxiously large.

Interesting. Wonder if you’d been served if you were a black or interracial couple or a gay couple or a Muslim couple? Isn’t everybody’s money green including Vols fans?

Pssst! I'm a Black Christian guy who dresses conservatively and tries to be friendly to people even if they aren't friendly to me.

I will also go on to say that my daughter goes to Auburn and is a huge UT fan. She gets the occasional ribbing but people have been awfully quite this past week lol. She’s never had an issue wearing UT stuff and drives around campu with a UT tag with no issues.......knock on wood.

I can't presume to answer for the guy but let me share a tidbit with you. My wife and I went to a Cracker Barrel over in Daville, KY. I had on a Vols T-shirt. The waitresses walked by our table repeatedly but refused to stop to give us service. A manager also walked by. After 25 minutes or so, we left. But I wrote a letter to the manager two days later explaining what happened and advised him I'd not contact the CB headquarters this time. But if it happened again, I'd film it and send it to their HQ. Next time we went, I had a different Vols shirt and no problems. So I wouldn't blame the guy for being sneaky about his Vols attire, there really are people in other states just as obnoxious as some of our Vols fans exhibit. No one state has a monopoly on immaturity.
Lived in Danville for about 20 years. Absolutely no redeeming qualities in that town. That said, I LOVE wearing my orange around in Lexington. Can think of a couple of days this past Winter were it was more fun than ever!

Hey OP. I come to Cullman 3 times per year to the hospital for biz. I'll stop by and buy a truck in my Vol golf shirt next time. As long as everyone here will donate to make it happen.

Love that BeunaVista Mex place there!
