With all of what I've been seeing on ESPN lately, things are really looking up for Berry's heisman i belive. Sam Bradford is injured, and i heard that Colt McCoy did terrible today. Could Berry very well have a good chance? I know Tebow is still out there, but this is college football, anything can happen!

Two games, no turnovers. I want him to win but I don't know. Tebow just had 5 touchdowns today. I think...

uhhhhh did you see the game today??? he has no chance. He couldnt even win the Thorpe award last year with clearly the best numbers. Reasons wh not. 1)His team is not that good. 2A)He Plays Defense 2B)He plays for tennesee

"Other" Heisman candidates are just that...the others.

This year it's TT's lose and the media won't let that happen. The only way Tebow loses the Heisman this year is if he is injured mid-season and it's season ending or he channel's Jonathan Crompton playing style @ QB for the remainder of the season.

Defensive players don't win Heisman trophies. Especially ones who play for 6-6 football teams.

Crompton did help that Moore guy from UCLAS chances though. that dude now has 5 picks in 2 games

Taylor Mays - the other defensive player mentioned as a possibility just got hurt. He has to break the return yards record and get some points to get into the running imo.

well, Berry's still close to some records and with the current situation with the offence, we could very well see more of him later.

Tebow, though it seems possible, could very well be like Bradford and get injured. But for him, i hope that doesn't happen. I hate him as a Gator, but he is a great kid. When it comes to buisness though, he just wont work in the NFL with his physical-styled QB play...

I'm not sure if I like how Monte is using him - he's blowing up a lot of plays at the LOS which is good of course - but he's playing a lot like a LB at times and I think that's going to result in less picks so less big plays from him.

I agree Bassman but i bet that changes this week as IMO Kiffin just assumed that our 1st 2 opponents couldnt beat us with the pass so bring Berry up for run support. They obviously understand what Tebow is capable of

As soon as Bradford went down, they just stuck another QB in for Heisman consideration. They totally passed right by Berry.

IMO Berry might as well be labeled OLB. He is lining up basically every play at the LOS. IMO think Monte is using him to mask our deficiencies at LB
He's not playing coverage much, I know he is our one of our surest tackler, but he is also our best playmaker when it comes to Turnovers in the passing game

he did lead the team in tackles tonight with 10 (7 solo, 3 assists). that's pretty damn good considering they ran and threw away from him all night. i'd be surprised if EB gets 4 picks this year. through the first two games, both WKU and UCLA have designed their offenses to AVOID EB. the only time either threw his way in either game is when WKU did on the first play. and what happened... he bout had a pick six. heisman? no. UT is too bad.
