We've been rated the #1 public school in the country for 60+ years. Our graduate school is currently ranked #1, public or private. We have 20 Nobel Prize winners. Dare to compare to Tenn?
Ranking sources are what they are and tend to suck in every way, but I'd take UVA and Michigan over Cal all day long, especially at the graduate level. We've been rated the #1 public school in the country for 60+ years. the rankings are useless. Michigan and UVA both have better law and business schools than Cal. by the by, usnews couldn't be any worse of an evaluator of the quality of the program.Care to explain why? If you don't go by rankings, reputation, nobel prize winners, etc, what do you go by? Look at page 3.
Cal #1
Michigan #7
UVA Unranked
Michigan doesn't have a SINGLE graduate program ranked higher than Cal.
The only one ranked close is earth sciences all others cal is at least 7 spots higher than michigan.

How do you account for this MASSIVE difference? Just admit you don't know what you are talking about.

As for my knowing nothing, I applied to Haas back in the day and was offered a ride there, but never even considered it in my final decision process. Why choose a school that is all but irrelevant outside of CA.
Why would one use a typical liberal news source in evaluating the quality of a program. I'll assure you that Michigan and Darden are better programs than Haas (Haas reputation is based upon the Dean and imagine why US News loves her). The preponderance of attorneys in the US are East Coast where, again, Berkeley is irrelevant.Well who is a good evaluaor of the quality of the program? You? I imagine if you live in michigan or virginia, those schools would be better for you. Worldwide? They can't compare to Cal.

I was thinking about during the Penn State fiasco. What took you so long to come around?
