He is always around the ball, makes big tackles, and comes up with big turnovers. I cant wait for 2 more years of this guy.

we should have 3 more years with him

I don't imagine he'll go pro after his junior year

His playing making ability and leadership will definitely influence other plays for years to come. He will go Pro after his Junior year, hes that good. Can't wait to watch him for the next two years

I've had man love for Al Wilson since 1998. Let me just say I have a man crush on Eric Berry at the moment.

I doubt that

He plans on becoming a dentist, he'll get his degree

his dad will make sure of that

His tackling is the most impressive part of his game. He puts people down on first contact. He slips in coverage sometimes, like the T.D. he gave up tonight, but he will learn and only get better. I hope to see him on offense and returns in the future ala Charles Woodson.

I get the feeling that he cares about his academics and will want to graduate. Who knows though, millions of dollars will start calling his name. If he keeps improving, I won't be upset if he leaves early because he will be that good. However, I would love to have him here past his junior year.

So damn true-- I have a love/hate relationship with him though. I love him because he's so freakin' amazing. I hate him because I don't watch Vol defense as a whole anymore-- I just watch him in anticipation of his next big play. :p

I see him graduating in three years if he is that serious about academics. BUT who are you trying to fool....he will take the millions and go to the NFL and I dont blame him at all if he does. After the injury to Inky I firmly believe that if a player can go first round after junior year then he needs to go....three years in the rough SEC is enough college.

He has to stay healthy. For someone that is involved in almost every tackle. It is hard to do.
He is the heart of the defense and can't wait to see him develop.

Berry gave up a TD pass. He's far from perfect.

But he's pretty damn good.

Berry plays balls to the wall on every play, I love it. Every DB gives up TD passes, but Berry makes far more big plays than he allows them. Also, I believe because he makes so many big plays people forget that he is only a true freshman and will still make freshman mistakes.
I really hope we get him the ball atleast 2-3 times a game next year whether it be on returns, screens, reverses, etc.

Berry is by far the best true freshman DB I have ever seen. The only one that come close in recent times is kenny Phillips of Miami, but he is still not as good as Berry.

Berry Almost took Periloux out of the game, and I think he put Holliday out of the game as well. I love his big hitting capability as well as his game changing ability with his knack for being Johnny-on-the-spot. Great vision on returns too. Add his 4.3 speed and size into the mix and he is every coaches dream. Great student too. A very good chance if he stays healthy that he will stay all 4 years IMO.

Yeah..I said that once too, but I'm not so sure. He has also stated that he wanted to play corner over QB because he knew that was where he could make his money. He obviously has eyes on the NFL as well.

Even if he does get his degree, he has to still go back to school for multiple years. I think that he could stand one more once he comes back to finish up his BS and then get his DDS or MDD (or whatever they call dental degrees....).

Is it possible that he pretty much finishes most of his degree requirements in 3 years?

Eric Berry was all over the field. His acceleration to grab up the fumbled ball was incredible. The interception showed pretty good eyes, as well.

I hope that the missed tackle on Perilloux (dont' get me wrong...it wasn't an easy tackle...I'm not complaining) on their final drive to close out the game leaves him hungry for another shot at the championship.
