Berry 4 Heisman

Three things have to happen for Berry to win the heisman
1) He would have to return punts and kickoffs, and do it well.
2) He would have to toss in a dash of offense from time to time
3) The Vols would have to be good. Like real good.

And he might also have to the heisman pose in a big win after he scores a touchdown.

People please.... Just stop with the heisman garbage... The trophy is a joke and everyone knows it to be so. If Berry wins it it'll be only because he deserves the trophy, not because the trophy deserves him... To paraphrase Cooper Manning.

Believe ESPN already has him as the top person who will not be voted for Heisman candidate.

this was done for a reason...they already ruled him out but wanted to make it seem like they want him in. typical! :shakehead:

Just thought the video made very good points, PLUS, the main reason I posted it was because we all got to see EB do his thing...AGAIN! Do I think he will win it? No. That being said, atleast there is something out there to cherish about the 2008 season.

EB needs to return punts and kicks to have a legitimate shot at winning the heisman IMO. Tennessee also needs to win at least 10 games and play for the SEC championship.

Unfortunately now, the award goes to the best player on one of the best teams, not the best player in the country.

Or he would have to be in a Heisman race with Peyton Manning. Manning does not deserve a Heisman, but a DB out of Michigan by the name Woodson does, lol. Screw ESPN, the Big Ten sux. And please get rid of Fowler, guy should stick to tennis!

yep. Those are the two things that are going against Berry. He's playing on a team that probably won't compete for a championship. He's playing on defense.

Probably won't compete for a championship? Man I love the Vols. Sometimes it is scary how much I love them, but we are no where near competing for a Championship.

If we did, Kiffin deserves a statue and a street after the first year.

I think there is an outside chance of competing for the East. I mean you never know what will happen until the season starts. Florida may end up missing Percy more than people think. A win against Florida would technically allow us to be "competing for a championship". You never know, I wouldn't rule it completely out.

Oh I thought you meant for the National Championship.

I fully expect to compete for the East every year. Hell, we won that bitch 2 years ago.

Yeah, but this may be one of the few years where I don't expect us to be there at the top competing for the East towards the end of the season. Right now, it just seems like Florida and everyone else. I expect a second place finish in the East, which would end up being pretty darn good. If we're somehow tied or a game back of Florida on the home stretch I will be absolutely thrilled.
