Bench JG

Uhh? The Screen and the Deep Ball? That's 2.
The screen was inexcusable but that deep ball wasn’t on JG. That DB made a heck of a play. Dude looked like the receiver going after that ball. Then again Florida always has DBs that are ball hawks so it shouldn’t be that surprising.

I think the real question is why are we calling so many deep ball plays with the ways our offense line is playing
B/c they were open. We just don't have a QB that can hit the routes. And even when they did, there was a fumble through the end zone.

Just Tennessee things.

I thought hurts was the shiz at alabubba till this other kid came along....... holy cow.
Might not hurt to give someone else a shot. I also understand our o line is bad bad.

He doesn't hold it too long, because this O-Line doesn't give any QB long enough to hold it too long. The O-Line does not even give a QB 3 seconds consistently.

We gotta admit he led an offense that took the team out the game early. Our offense was a bigger threat to victory than Florida's was.

I felt really bad for JG. His disappointment at his own performance was written all over his face. As a fan, I get so mad and want to criticize and lash out, but as a mother (not his-lol), my heart hurts for a young quarterback who was embarrassed on national television and will probably get a lot of flack on social media. Just consider if these kids were YOUR sons. How would you want folks to treat them then?

Everyone always asks every college football fan everyday about how they feel on yelling at 19 year olds. The truth is we are yelling at the coaching staff as much as the young guns much much more.

The drop by Dwa on the big early down, the holds and false start, and the fumbles were all his fault.

The truth is y’all don’t know why y’all are talking about. Every time he made a play someone else messed it up. He isn’t the problem.

Yep. They don't know football. He is just as much a part of the Oline problems as the oline, especially in pass protection..He can't read a defense.

He’s not just missing pre-snap reads that get him nearly killed, he holds the ball until the last possible second before he takes a big hit. It’s almost like he uses the pass rush to time his throws. He’s GOT to read his progressions quicker and make quicker decisions, for the sake of his own health.

Bench the offensive line

Me, you, and the previous 2 posters could block more efficiently than this oline. Certainly no worse. Like just how? How is the oline so epicly bad?

I know it's not the only problem but literally every single game it's the oline causing issue upon issue that are easy to avoid. Basic stuff! Super basic stuff!

Our oline is the definition of flabbergasted. They're just confused, worn out, don't give a crap.

O line looks like scared pansies.

JG has had 2 years to develop timing with his receivers, yet continues to underthrow or over throw them. He does alright throwing to a stationary target most the time but we need to hit guys in stride for big plays. KC had 2 months to get timing down, so it’s more understandable why he would not be as accurate; however, we scored 2 touchdowns after he came in. The team seemed to respond better with him out there.

JG maybe the better athlete and our future hope, but when things are going as badly as they were tonight, we are better off trying something different. Going back out to throw another interception isn’t going to help is confidence. Watching with the coach on the sideline for a couple series may help him develop as he studies what the defense is doing, and then maybe he does better when he goes back out. The lightbulb needs to come on soon
