I think you are right. The difference being that I don't think Zook said Moss was going to be an all-american 2 months after he got on campus. Based on the fact that Fulmer moved the #1 rated outside LB in the country do DE 2 weeks before the opener to make up for Ben (which is no longer an issue) shows you that Fulmer is going to play this kid this year, and play him a whole lot.

yep, CPF was saying for the last couple weeks that Ben was the real deal and all this and i was wandering if that meant that he was gonna put him on the field this year and it made it obvious once he moved Donald and Walker... im always looking forward to UT football, but this year seems to be something special in the making... i have never felt this way about a season before

...or that Donald and Walker are at the bottom of the LB rotation right now as new guys and we were thin at DE with Martin going down....I wouldn't read too much into what Fulmer said today. He was probably very relieved that Ben's injury turned out to be not that bad - especially considering it was an injury that could have forever taken away what was possibly his best asset as a player, that quick first step.

really? I had never heard Fulmer say that. I heard him say potential All American, but not "going to be an All American". That suprises me.

you're right, he never came out and flat out said he was going to be an All-American, but pretty much thats what he wanted to say... i think CFP was very elated to find out that Martin wasnt going to be out for the season and got a little carried away and said that he was going to be an All American

I think he thought he was gonna be an All American all along, but the injury update brought the truth out of him.

Someone in here was saying the other day was comparing the pain of a deep bone bruise and a torn ligament (or something along those lines) ... who would have guessed that it would have ended up being the bruise...

I had said that I hoped it was a deep bone bruise and compared it to the injury Jammal Brown, of the New Orleans Saints, had a few weeks ago. Brown was in immense pain and the New Orleans media assumed it was an ACL or something real real serious. After surgery it was discovered to be a bone bruise.

It really is good news for Martin.

I think that was it. Good call. I know you didn't say that was what it was, but just bringing up that example deserves some kudos since it was spot on.

How long was Brown out for?
