Know if he’ll be available today at home against the Marlins?

Probably since he was able to pick up time flying west.

I've watched his stats.

The good: When he throws strikes, they can't hit him.

The bad: He still has days full of walks.

But, the Angels can plug him in there in setup mid-relief role. If he walks first guy, yank him. You can tell within five pitches if he has control that day. They can work with that.

If he can get a little more consistent, he can be Nolan Ryan in relief. Nolan walked a lot too, but was one of the best ever.

Once Ryan got that pitching coach i think 3 years into his mlb career, he gained control on that fastball and become the guy soon after. All it takes is one coach that can see this guys potential and that can get him under control he’ll be one of the best.

You cannot take a pitcher out of the game after a single batter (with only a few minor exceptions).

3 minimum if starting or entering an inning. If you enter needing only one out and you get it, you’re good. Resets at the end of an inning. One of the new pace of play MLB rules.

They will find a niche for him as a strikeout pitcher. Close game, runner on third, one out. Need a strikeout.....Ben is your man!

Oh those rules suck. Next thing they will tell the managers the hitters have to go a minimum of 2 at bats. They are taking the strategy right out of the game.
