Behr's last will and testament.

Well again, I appreciate the kind words but we're just dealing with life and I thought I'd share some "real time" pictures for lack of a better term. Thankfully we've been blessed with only losing material things that can be and will be replaced. Dad is fortunate enough to be financially secure and this is just a figure on a check and alot of work. He worked as hard as I did yesterday and he's almost 80. He had a car in the garage that he thinks was insured, but that's the only thing he thinks that will be covered.

What is heartbreaking is all the lost businesses and people that lived and worked there. Alot of hotels and restaurants that had thousands of employees that are done. They're talking about it being 11 months before the causeway will be completed.

It's not like "okay, let's get this cleaned up and get it all fixed and rebuilt".
I only ever saw it once when taking Tiffany down for her surgery, but it was a beautiful place. I hate that so many people have lost so much because of this. I saw comments from people how it was their favorite vacation spot, but it was home and life to many, some don't understand that.

FWIW our family down there had a few cars totaled. Water covered the lanai so the pool needs deep cleaning, maybe a new liner. Water got in their garages but did not get inside the living levels of their house. They were very fortunate to have over-engineered the heck out of their lot when they built and they may be the only house in seagate that does not require extensive remediation or replacement. Sounds like their utility situation was similar to yours only reversed where they had running water but no electricity for awhile. They did have a big emergency generator to power the whole house but it failed. Luckily they had two small generators for camping that they used to keep phones charged and such. Last time we talked, they said everything smells like dead fish down there.

Every once in awhile I'll get a whiff of dead fish, the rest of the time it smells like rotten fish, spoiled beef, bad chicken, green pork, human feces and body odor gumbo.

She is a crap person .
She just wants to make sure black people vote next month and this is the kind of messaging that motivates many of them. I don’t like her politics and I think this kind of messaging creates unnecessary division in a country that elected a black man president twice but may we should not dehumanize people.
