I live in Pensacola, FL...Lower Alabama! All sides...to the West its LSU fans....East its Florida and FSU....and North....well you know them Tide fans. Only nice fans are the Auburn fans down here. Still fly my Orange loud and proud!

That's because there are so few Auburn fans.

Upon opening or recieving this gift did you promptly tell your wife, "Thanks, but we are currently witnessing the death of UT Football."

That and get ready to purchase the volume package from MAACO as your car gets keyed and needs a paint job every 6 months.

I deal with Gators every day -- Jorts are real unfortunately.

Hey,
I live in South Carolina. I was in the Army and have traveled all over the country(from Colorado to the Carolinas) and overseas. Everyone knows I bleed orange. I have punked alot of gamecock(ie:fightin chicken) fans here. That beat down we gave them last year, has got them retreating to their favorite slogan: "Wait till next year". And I love doggin Spurrier and his sorry butt, for what he will never do here, win... Vols Nation 4 Life, Holla!!!!

I live in Hueytown,AL just about 30 mins down the road from Tuscaloosa, and if you lived down here you would think that Nick Saban was Governor.

I'm in KY only bad experience was:

1. Cute = Wal-Mart clerk remarked it was funny of me to wear a Vols cap in Wildcat country.

2. Not cute = Guy deliberately tried to hit me with his pick up truck by making a right turn into an intersection with a crosswalk. I was wearing a Vols cap. One person was ahead of me by about 5 feet but this guy was determined squeeze, missed me by centimeters and looked back at me and laughed. person in front shook her head in disbelief.

The above was an exception as most of my experiences is good natured kidding with Cat fans here.

I live in southeastern VA and in the past 5 years VT went from a school nobody cared about to now being the fashionable team to like by all the thugs and anyone who never watched a college football game before Michael Vick.

After the peach bowl i had my UT license plate frame ripped off my car and the T sticker on the back of the car spray painted over with a VT and the side of the car vandalized by spraypainted "37-14!" across the side.

There are times when I think living in Tuscaloosa or Gainesville would be safer for my car with UT stickers on it....

enemy lines are everywhere, sometimes you dont realize you're behind them 'till its too late....

I have read so many of these enemy lines posts ,and let me just say that I really enjoy them. So much humor!

Now, I live in Memphis. Many of you should be thankful that you don't have to listen to Memphis fans. Memphis fans act as if they are in the big times ,and they feel that their program is SEC worthy. All Memphis fans have a big hatred towards the SEC and root against any team playing an SEC team. Every time Ole Miss or Tennessee comes to town, that's the only time they can get 50,000 in the Liberty Bowl with half of those fans being Rebel or Vol fans. During basketball season, its a nightmare. Before our #1 vs. #2 game in 2008, the Tiger fans acted as if they were going to win this game by 30. They had no respect for Bruce Pearl or anybody on the team ,and they thought that they were just that superior to us. No win ever felt as good as that one.

As for SEC fans, we've got every school basically. Ole Miss and Tennessee have the biggest fanbases in the Memphis area ,but there are plenty of Mississippi State and Arkansas fans too. We also have some Alabama fans and then a few LSU, Auburn, Florida, and Georgia fans as well.

Birmingham, AL

Home of Finebaum, BAM's, and the most ignorant following of college football I have ever experienced.

Oh yeah, there are some Auburn fans too.

I think what he meant to say was, "Many of you should be thankful you don't live in Memphis....because it's Memphis." It's a dubious cross to bear. I'm pretty sure I saw a homeless guy light his cig by simply touching it to the 4000 degree pavement today.

I used to live in Fort Collins, and the people there care as much about college football as they do about college spelunking...and it's a college town. So, needless to say, I didn't catch much flak. In fact, I converted pretty much every one of my neighbors to UT fans because they loved to come over and watch the games with me (i.e. watch me destroy my house, weep, and pound Scotch).

P.S. DON'T EVER FOLLOW A JOB TO MEMPHIS, EVEN IF YOU CAN DOUBLE YOUR SALARY. YOU WILL DOUBLE YOUR MISERY!

If the theme of this is enemy territory, I'm essentially in Switzerland.

Being into college football in Rhode Island is probably like being really into cricket in McMinnville, TN.

I live 30 minutes from Athens, GA so you can imagine. I really enjoyed sticking it to them the last 2 years. I go to the BB games every year at their cow barn which we owned until this year. The guys and Lady Vols both lost last year at Stegman and I had to eat a lot of crow. I love hearing "I hate orange".

Hell with all the gloom and doomers on here, Lately I feel like im behind enemy lines everytime i type in volnation.com....... On another note, Here in North Wilkesboro, NC. all I hear is Duke and Carolina which makes me laugh and I bring up football to which they tell me what about our basketball team, followed by the answer "Well Pat Summitt is the winningest coach ever!", which is usually followed by we aren't talking about women, who watches women? To which I end the convo on, " Well I don't know about you, but I would rather watch women run around, get sweaty, and rub on each other than guys. How about you?"

There are a lot of people like that. I know someone that is a diehard Bama football fan ,but is also a diehard Memphis Tiger basketball fan. I know people who root for UT in football and then root for Memphis in basketball.

I'm in Arkansas at the moment and have to listen to all the Arky hype. I've also lived in Texas, working with a bunch of Aggie fans. Obviously, the Cotton Bowl was a great experience. I lived outside of Tampa for a little while as well and got to go to the bowl against Wisconsin.

I was in South GA for a season. Having to watch all the GA preps come out in their Khaki dress shorts, tucked in red/black polo and boy wonder hair-do killed me. Only thing was worse was having to listen to them after they beat us.

Im in DC now. Nobody gives a crap about football. All they have to root for here is MD or the midshipmen.

I live in Texas and also have to deal with the real UT stuff. ugh. I haven't met many real UT fans here so it gets kinda depressing. I still have TN plates though! Not exactly legal, but its a military town so cops don't even ask about it. On saturdays I go into bars decked out in Tennessee stuff and make them turn on the Vols...HA!
