I think they need to read over the article on GVX first. I believe Fulmer and the board of trustees have influenced this decision to hire Cutcliffe. It clearly states that Fulmer would endorse the hiring of Cutcliffe. I believe they have went over Hamilton's head with this one.

I agree that they went over Hamilton's head. I believe MH will be gone and PF will be the new AD.

This is probably the worst thing that could of happened to Tennessee.

Welcome to obscurity.

If Hamilton allowed Fulmer to influence his decision, he should just step down now. If they went over his head, Hamilton is probably done.

I have a feeling that if Cut is indeed the new HC, that Hamilton had no choice. He was probably forced to hire him and then he will probably be canned shortly.

I knew as soon as they even cotacted Fulmer about possibly becoming the new AD, he would have some pull in this decision, and it appears as if i was right.

All the Fulmerites on the BOT need to be identified immediately...and the VolNation needs to run them out of town. Boycott every business they own...pound their e-mail boxes into oblivion, and call them out in public.

They were the ones telling ESPN that they were talking to Fulmer about coming back just hours after Kiffin bailed. Biggest bunch of retards...likely gave Kiffin a lot of grief and tried to make him feel unwelcome (even if Kiffin is a douche, he had this program going in the right direction and with a top 5 recruiting class)

If Fulmer was fired because of "fan apathy" how is hiring Cutcliffe a fix? I would feel next fall the same as if Fulmer had never been fired - it would make firing Fulmer and hiring Kiffin a waste everybody's time and money.

You really think -- even if your far-feched hypothesis were true -- that would be the determining factor for his decision? Really?

Hamilton told a reporter during his HC that Fulmer was not under consideration...yet ESPN reported that some of the BOT had contacted Fulmer about coming back...as if that was a legit option.

That tells you clearly what kind of infestation there is among the BOT.

Ok let me see if I'm understanding what I think I seeing that appears to be.... Cutcliffe?!?!?!? That's like hiring Fulmer all over again. We need a coach who's not afraid to get in there and play our boys with the NFL style offence and defense, and not be afraid to play ball. Please tell me it ain't so. If pressure was put on MH to do this, then I agree with some of you guys, whoever these pressure-bearers are, they need to go because they're setting our program back and nobody's going to want to come us still playing old style football. Said it ain't so!!!!!! Get Gruden! Get Dungy (he has round about ties via Peyton)! Get Howie Long! (LOL). Anybody 'cepting Cutliffe!!!!!
