Beer (and beer pics!)

The Sam Adams Winter box is out already. My husband had it in the cart and I made him put it back. There was one lone box of Octoberfest left and I made him get that instead. So good!

i LOVE beer! (i don't remember this night)

I've never ordered beer...just always get it in my travels. You might be able to get Dragon's Milk in Louisville and/or Lexington. Also check Chuck's in Bowling Green. New Holland does distribute in KY but I think somewhat limited. I have a few bottles. I think it is good, not great. Certainly had other barrel aged stouts I like better.

Speaking of Asheville. With our daughter in Boston and not coming home for Thanksgiving, the wife surprised me with a "you want to go for a few days and stay in Asheville?" comment last night. So very stoked as I've never been there. Hopefully the trip will happen...Hello Greenlife, Thirsty Monk and Bruisinales!

I don't know where you are but if you order try this place.

Jason, the owner, is a super cool dude that definitely has his hand in the beer culture of Asheville

Thanks!

One of my favorites is out of Louisville KY, at "Bluegrass Brewing Co." Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout, great stuff.

Love the Goose Island Bourbon County series (got some regular and Vanilla Bourbon County aging in the fridge) and of course the Sexual Chocolate from Foothills and Dark Lord from 3 Floyds.

I do both, travel and order online. I've gotten a pretty good idea who ships what...fresh.

BTW, don't miss out on Pisgah in Black Mountain, Asheville Brewing and Pizza, Wedge Brewing, etc. Some people don't care for Barley's Taproom, but they have good pizza and most locals available on tap as well as flights.

Pisgah is probably my #1 stop as is Asheville Pizza...we are on the same wave length!

I thought about doing a cabin, but not sure if worth it since just 2 of us. I do have to fit in some non-beer stuff for the wife ;)

@929spotsguy...Just found out another out of market brewer will be at the 12 South Winter Warmer and it is a big one. Jackie O's out of Ohio. Very small brewery but probably the best beer I've had. Big cult following. Not sure how the organizer got them to come in, but in the beer world, that's huge. This thing is going to be epic!
