Been chewing on Saturday's game.

Look, Saturday was as bad as it gets, however.. this could be one of those losses that might turn out to be a good thing in the long term. This loss and the embarrasment could light a fire under the rock star coaching staff and the players to propel them to go on a tear and play above themselves, you just never know how this will turn out in the long run, or it could just be something they do not recover from, i am being realistic when i say the only way left to go is up from here. I am perturbed but i haven't given up quite yet. What say you?
I agree! Ticked about Saturday’s game, will wait and see!

Two things happen.

1- Pruitt throws every position open for competition that ultimately leads to a lot of his guys and younger guys winning.

2- He waltzes out the same lineup across the board for the next few weeks with no changes. That ultimately will cause mayhem. I fear for the people's safety at the BYU game being at night and the stadium's first game selling booze.

No positive way to spin Saturday, don’t matter how you try. But just because I’m mad don’t mean I don’t care lol I’ll be on my couch with a case of brew Saturday night to watch them hopefully get a W over BYU and start the turnaround.

I remember what Coach Majors said in the challenges of his taking over the Vol job after his
coaching at Pittsburgh: "It's a long way from the Penthouse to the Outhouse". After this past Saturday
looks like a trip from the Outhouse to the doghouse. The TV commentators for the game said the
defense showed a lack of urgency, or even energy - embarrassing. I will try to be positive and hopeful.

You been around the last 10-12 years? Literally nothing turns this program around and when you think they’ve gone as low as is humanly possible, they go lower. I fully expect them to hit several lower levels after blowout losses to every SEC team they play.

I honestly don't want a coach who is going to try to spin something........ We had that in Butch for 5 years.

Agreed. I’m really not talking about Pruitt when I say that, I’m talking more from a fan standpoint. I’ve seen it on social media. Spin things how you want to, it won’t change anything about Saturday. My own personal approach, now granted I’m just a dude posting on a forum and my opinion means nothing, I work on what I know I can coach on and fix and I forget about Saturday(philosophically) completely. Don’t beat the guys down all week for it, get them ready to play BYU Saturday night and get a W.

I just don't see it be a flash point for a turn-around. As AD, I'd have set the bar at 7 wins this year to retain confidence. I think we're well on the way to a 1-7 record when UAB comes in. I don't know how you come back from this, an utter failure throughout the program. 3-9 is a real possibility, and I don't know where one of those wins comes from.

If you don't think it can get worse you're wrong. Just imagine a full team brawl of UT vs BYU (they have been known to start a few).

Let the wave ride my friend. Could be historically bad - again.
