Never really thought about it, but it does seem like painting it all white then filling it in does make sense. Makes sure everything is square, measured correctly, etc.

In Jacksonville paint must be cheaper than time! These guys just paint one white box! Makes sense to me!

artificial turf would cure that. can you imagine how bright the field would be with the orange/white against a deep green. dang that would look nice...

A off topic question about the checkerboard end zones ? In the 90's when the field was turf the full end zone was checked. Now as everyone know they leave a green border. As for myself I preferred the fuller look. Does anyone know why it's not painted full ?
